i thought it was tradition to announce it at the gig

last year was unusual - no? in that it was pre-sold.

If an aftershow is announced at the gig itself, what are the chances that people in gold circle will be able to get to it? - my only worry!

About Paris
Do you think if he play in Paris
there won't be an aftershow, too?
What do you think of that?

Last time in Dublin the venue was announced at the end of the show. That was in the Point which is just as close to the possible venues as Croke Park.

Still managed to get there in plenty of time. Although there was only 8-ish thousand at the point not 60-70 thousand at Croker but how many of those fans are Aftershow people?? Hopefully not many as I plan on being there if there is one.

Errr, because these are the tickets that come up on the Ticketmaster system??

And as you no doubt know at Croke Park the tickets "at the back" can still be 126 euros.....more expensive than the Gold Circle.

Well, ok I guess some people don't mind that. Personally if it's someone I want to see I like to be pretty close. Other bands I'm not that fussy. Horses and courses once more.

I've been searching the theatres and their calendars in Dublin around Croke to see which might be a possible venue for an aftershow. There's a lot of positivity among orgers about it happening. Pleeeeease PRINCE... if u're reading this, no alcohol, I want to bring my daughter to C U...what I would give 2 C the look on her face...she's heard to much about the gigs last year. Love....

Ha ha, glad to see I'm not the only one freaking out over an aftershow!!

The capacity conversations about Croke park seem to be forgetting one thing - when you google it and it comes up with 80,000+ turnout for a sports event the pitch hasn't been filled. There would be much more people than 80,000 at a full croke park concert.

Just make sure you bring running shoes!
If he announces an aftershow at the concert (pleasepleasepleaseplease) the people in the seats farthest from the stage have the best advantage in getting there on time. There's actually not very many places it could be, loads of venues have been booked...

Maybe he's just gonna see how he feels on the night.

Oh my God, I think I'm going to die with exitement.

It's going to be amazing!

even if he announces an aftershow, the people in the seats furthest away are unlikely to hear what he has actually said. sound can be bad in these types of venues. maybe i'm just a little deaf when it comes to these kind of concerts, but i could make out feck all of what bono said when i saw them play croke park a few years ago..

It amazed me that out of 23,000 people in the main O2 arena, only what? 200/300 at most were at the aftershow!!! That was on 6th Sept. What's wrong with these people?? lol Great for us though wink
