It seems noone has written anything about what Prince played at the Aalborg (DK) soundcheck, so I thought I'd let you curious people out there know what happened...

Everything started late because there had been some sort of conference in the concert hall (great move, right?!), so while we were waiting to get in we could hear the band play "1+1+1 is 3" and we all got really annoyed because we weren't in there.

But after about 15 minutes they finally let us in.
Prince came on stage and talked for a little while, then went to the back of the hall where we couldn't see him.

The band started playing a long, slow, jazzy jam where they all got to play solos... a bit boring, but very well-played of course.
Prince came on stage and sat behind his piano, started playing some slow jazz thing of about 5 minutes. Then he started singing... "When the lights go down"... it was awesome! At one point he even looked at me and asked if the microphone was loud enough, I shook my head, he had the mike turned up. Then he looked at me again and said "Better?" and I gave him the thumbs up... Then he said to all the other people there "That's my manager" - Oh, what a nice feeling!

Unfortunately, that was all we got because of the delay, but as you may have read he made it up to us later (By the way, I was on stage during "1+1+1" - that was killer!)
