You get a different class of drunken twat in dublin. The o2 was quite rough at times. Irish drunken twats normally just throw up on themselves and pass out.

P.s it is possible to have a beer pre-concert in the (hopefully) sunshine and not get plastered. Afterall there is that afterSHOW to go to right?

To be honest, if Prince was to cancel Croke Park and play in the RDS then I would see this as more of a plus than a negative, he will be less of a dot. The RDS is smaller and I'd rather see him play two nights there than 1 night at Croker.

At the Police concert recently in Croke, you couldn't bring any beer into stadium. No beer tent! And at a Police gig what is there to do but drink and try and blot out the bad music/performance?!

So many rumours such little time...

Do you guys ever give up?

My brothers, sisters, cousins, sons, friend of the teacher said that her little cousins, sisters, mothers, husband said that the gig may go ahead...

what do you think?

It is feasible that staff at ticketmaster have relatives, is it not? Cheers for the info Xemplify, hope you're 4 real.

Like someone throwing a glowstick at his head in o2? Twats everywhere regardless of booze. However if anyone in the universe deserves a bottle of pee thrown at him it's Bono.

lol

Happens all the time at Festivals. It has little to do with alcohol if you ask me. Myself and my wife get rat-arsed but don't behave like louts. Some people are just dickheads to start with. Add booze and they get worse. But that shouldn't mean that the rest are penalised due to the minority behaviour.

Not that I want to get defensive about alcohol, despite the fact I work for one of the world's largest brewers (S&N soon to be Carlsberg/Heineken), but let me just say that responsible behaviour is all that is needed. I love having a drink. It's something that I've grown up with. Sometimes I drink a bit too much (whoopee!) and at other times it's purely for the enjoyment of taste and effect.

When it comes to a big event though I tend to limit myself to after the show as needing a pee every 20 minutes is not fun. Apart from at Festivals when it's every man for himself and let's have a few smokes too smile

Last year at the aftershows I was fairly pissed but I think I danced most of the booze off. Not wanting to be at the front of the stage helps too (can't think of a worse place to try and dance). I don't recall losing my memory of the show then or at any other time before or since. Did lose it once when I'd been out with friends but I put that down to the chasers and the pills wink

Anwyay, stop having a go at alcohol. It's a lovely drug and just gets bad press due to those that don't know the difference between 'use' and 'abuse'.

sure that's true, used to work in a pub, so I'm hardly against alcohol. There is a difference between use and abuse, but there arent's as many who can cope with alcohol the way you do.

i can't see it being moved either. rds holds 35,000. he would have to do two nights min as i'm sure that there is more than that sold for croker. doesn't make sense to change venue from business point of view.

no harm about beer not being widely avail either. if i have a few before concert i'll be running for the loo every 5 mins. i'd rather enjoy concert, have a few after.
