Croke Park e-tickets - HELP PLEASE!!!

OK, maybe I'm an idiot, but I went ahead and bought some tickets from someone on Ebay, and yes, I paid over the odds.

I received my ticket this morning in the post, only to find that it's an 'E-TICKET' with the Ebay guy's name on it.

SHOULD I BE WORRIED? Doesn;t this mean he could just print off the same ticket as many times as he wants and go himself - ie. get there first?!!

Please please please someone offer some advice on this - me and my missus are going spare with worry now.

Cheers

Hi Larasavage,

Yes whoever you bought the tickets from off ebay, they can print off the ticket and turn up before you and use the tickets... and you would not be able to enter.
How much did you pay for the tickets and where are they in the Stadium?

The 'guarantee' with Ebay is the possibility of leaving feedback, but this only works within a limited time from buying an item, I am not sure if it will stretch all the way to June!? If that's the case, I would be a bit worried too...

Didn't it say in the ad that it was an e-ticket!?

Yeah don't know what to say to you here. Have you checked the seller's rating on ebay?

I can understand why you're worried. I'm currently selling some spare ticketfast e-tickets on ebay and was worried no one would want them incase I'd made multiple copies. I wish you'd bought mine as thay haven't sold yet and they are the cheapest gold circle ones on there!
I have stressed in my listing what sort of tickets they are and that I have made only one copy to sell. Hopefully people will believe me!
I can't speak for how trustworthy your seller was!
Why don't you have another look at the listing, if it wasn't advertised as an e-ticket you could complain and try to get your money back through the e-bay complaints page.

Best of luck!

You will be fine with this. I have bought/sold e-tickets on ebay. They are selling them to make a profit not to rip you off. But if your still worried you should e-mail them just to make sure you are the only ones that have these tickets and keep the e-mail as a guarantee.

Alternatively if your still worried. Get there early and then your guaranteed to be the first ones to use them but honestly you will be fine plus you have their address from ebay so they cant hide!!

All orgers should unite and give them a good seeing to if they rip you off!!!

Thanks to everyone who has replied above - good advice, cheers.

For those who asked, the ad just said Gold Circle tickets "In Hand", no mention of it being an e-ticket.

I'm just crossing my fingers now...

One word of advise would be to just keep checking the sellers items and see if they sell them again and that should keep your mind at rest if they do not.

Unfortunately this is the risk from eBay if they are ticketfast tickets

Did you email the reseller? that sounds way too cheap to me my tix cost over 100 for regular seats off ticketmaster. It seems odd they would sell gold circle tix for under face value.

Personally I would email them and send them back for a refund, ebay is designed to protect you from being ripped off they know who the reseller is.

You can claim they were miss-sold as they are e-tix and not actual tix

Did you pay with paypal or credit card cos these will protect ur interests as well.

We nearly bought some madness tix last year off ebay we already had seats but my husband thought the ones had found were better. We emailed the guy and he gave us his mobile, he was a regular ebayer of tix with good feeback etc but even he had claimed that they were best seats etc when I checked they were no better than mine so we didnt go through with it. If you hang tight Im guessing you will start seeing tix available in here as people often have to sell for different reasons.

I sold two of my first night VIPs in here and on housequake last summer when my brotherinlaw failed to tell me he would be in Australia!!!

The Gold Circle tix were 106 Euro plus charges, so not quite below cost but low enough to be suspicious.

Lara: If you don't trust the seller and are stuck with the tickets, do what others have said here - turn up way early. The barcodes are scanned on the way in, so if there are multiple copies out there, the first ones in are OK and the others are in trouble.
