Paris : was Prince angry at his guitar tech , Taka ?

Hi ,

Did anyone noticed yesterday during the regular show that Prince had a quarrel with his guitar tech .
After Prince made a joke on him (Taka on cover of Rolling Stone) I thougt something went wrong between these two .
When he handed Prince his guitar , he didn' t take it like "normal". At one point , If I remember after the song everlasting now he threw his guitar on the ground instead of giving it back, and he walked away looking really pissed of.
In the encores he didn't play any guitar at all not even on Days of wild. Am I wrong or is it just my imagination ?

I know what you're talking aboutbut you are giving a wrong impression of his mood...he was in a great great mood mate.

Of course he was in a great mood, but I think there was some strange going on between these two .

You are right.
Prince was very upset and it ruined the second part of the show a bit.
He indeed refused to play more guitar and played the ballad part as encore. He never did that before.
But they patched up before the aftershow though...

Guys and Girls Prince did just the exact same act in ANtwerp... It's all part of the "spontanious trip..."
Peace

I've been to 4 shows so far and he always throws the guitar at the end of Everlasting Now...
he got upset with Takumi after Sign of the times in Paris because he took away the guitar and he needed it for Take me with u!
cheers

I don't have the picture clearly in front of me but _if_ he's wearing the guitar, why would mr. P let Takumi take away his guitar?

I was in Antwerp too, but in Paris there was surely something wrong . I think it started after Strange relationship. Anyway i'm glad I wasn't the only who noticed it . I 'm sure we would have had a much better second part !!!

after "sign of the times" he left the guitar on the floor to keep the distortion. probably he wanted to enter at the beginning of "Take" and pick it, but when he ws back Takumi was taking it away, he rushed , shouted him something and took the guitar
cheers

The second part was great!!! I was in London. The Paris show was far better from start to finish and I had loved the London show already...

He did the same act in Antwerpen and hasn't played much guitar in the second part of any show anyway...He normally plays the keyboards only in that second part.

Moreover the show wasn't ruined at all?!!!

They did the same in Oberhausen. I noticed no argument
between them.

I noticed that, because the guitar (& thus the distortion thingie) was left onstage at the first Rotterdam show a lot longer (= a lot more painfull wink ).
