I try ticketmaster every now and then to see what's best available and it's mainly lower tier available when you ask for 2 tickets or more. When I put in 1 ticket it showed upper tier as best available, strange! Also, it seems like they try to sell one block at the time. Don't have a clue what's going on here. I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

Would also love to buy another ticket to get a bit closer if I can get the money. I would die if he did cancel. Also have put off going on holiday till later this year for it.

I know that does not answer your dilemma, just a thought i had.

I am going into hospital on Monday and my surgeon has given me permission to fly to Dublin on 16th June - so it will happen - wont it WOLFY?

Not that it has to mean anything, but yesterday at work, I all of a sudden had this vision that Prince was gonna cancel the whole PE tour...!?
I refuse to believe it myself, but the thought crossed my mind out of the blue... I hope he doesn't cancel but instead changes the concert places to smaller venues! Live concerts are so much better when that intimacy between the artist and the audience is created...

Unless other shows are announced soon, it doesn't look too good.
His other one-off shows in Europe over the years did get cancelled: Blenheim Palace 1991 and Copenhagen Rock Festival 1996 As far as the Danish concert that at one point seemed to be semi-official, there has been no news for weeks now - really doesn't look good

I'm worried too.
The facts don't look good. You can also add that P doesn't have the pulling power to fill a stadium despite his recent 02 success. Together with no promo I fear it's a no-go. It's idiotic that there's no commercial strategy here, I mean a cancelled good won't look good on your CV, then again this is Prince...

Well let's hope he performs at a smaller venue,if ticket sales don't go to plan for Croke Park. A smaller venue would be better anyway. I hope he does't call it off completly.

I think if the croke park gig is cancelled, there won't be any smaller venue gig, just like the website 3121,it will all just fade to black!!!But hey, nothing is confirmed yet so let's keep it positive until we're all queing for our Euros back!!! As for pulling power,I'm sure Prince could fill the O2 every night of the week with ticket prices at £31.20 but with prices for decent seats or standing views for a one off gig starting around £100 and a venue across the water on a MONDAY night thats not as easy to get to as London for most of Europe,HERE'S HOPING!!!! Anyway POSITIVITY,have u had ur + sign 2day..... [Edited 3/27/08 6:40am] Don't Hate Me Coz I'm Beautiful.....Go ahead,go ahead,Take my Picture!!!!!!

It's selling at least as well as the other acts booked for Croke Park's concert season. THERE IS ADVERTISING!!! Prince is listed in all of MCD's press listings not to mention the TV and Radio adverts before the tickets went on sale. Ireland is an expensive place. He'll make money from playing here BUT it will cost him A LOT of money in contract penalties to cancel at this stage. Is he crazy enough not to care? Possibly - but we can't change that. Check Ticketmaster - the Pitch is sold out! The only seats available are in the upper and back tiers and even if there are tickets left it's MCD's problem - they'll give them away for free to Radio Stations Ect. They don't need to sell the place out to turn a profit. Irish people don't buy into hype - we'll go along at the last minute when the buzz is slowly building and we decide there's nothing better to do on a Monday night. Don't Worry. Stop being negative. Your only worried because the gig is months away and you have to much time to think about it and read posts by twats claiming he's only sold 20,ooo - why aren't 60,000 seat still available then? Chill.

Chill. Ticketmaster AIN'T the only vendor selling tickets,go check the other sites mentioned in prior post and you will see PLENTY of PITCH Gold circle and others still available.... Ticketmaster sell their allocated blocks of tickets in stages, check in a few days and you will see a DIFFERENT batch up for sale.... As for advertising,I haven't seen any apart from actual promoter websites or a few ticket vendors, nothing in the press tv etc?? Although I think its too early to panic, I would say that Prince can't leave it too long if he's going to add other stadiums across Europe. He's got to give them time to sell.
In this case, no news is bad news. I would be very suprised if he made the Ireland show a one off. Unless he ties it in with a UK festival, but the big slots are looking mostly full on those. .

i heard a report on one of the national radio stations that prince was getting 3million euro/dollars (not sure which) from the croke park gig.
it is being advertised in newspapers and on radio and t.v.. also i thought that ticketmaster were the only official sellers. aren't all the rest scalpers???? there is a lot of scaremongering going on. until we hear otherwise, as far as i'm concerned it's full steam ahead.

My bet it is 'euro' instead of 'dollar', looking at the current exchange rates. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
