Would he be capable of cancelling on us?

Prince is known for changing his mind, girlfriends, friends, religions, ... The concert in Dublin seems far in the future/
Are you all confident he'll do it or would you fear for the worse???

confused

Don't want to seen as pessimstic but I'm worried about low ticket sales.....don't know about a cancellation but don't be surprised if it's moved to a smaller venue.....

Well....
he has cancelled before.
When I first heard he was coming here,
then he cancelled.
But, a month later I heard that
another concert was on, and it was so out of the blues,
I thought that the DJ on the radio
got it mixed up with the canceled show.
I mentioned to a co-worker 'bout the concert
and she wanted to go, and that gave me more of an
incentive to find out if it was true.
When I got to a Ticket Master outlet,
the tickets were on sale, so I charged the tickets.
I wasn't going to take any chances...

Don't know what I would have done if he canceled a second time though.

lol

I think he'll cancel if its half full. His ego couldn't take it.

He could piss us all off and cut the price of tickets.....or.....and don't knock this till you here it.....

What if he does a deal with a newspaper to give thousands of tickets away? The "collect 20 tokens" get a free ticket type thing?

Yep more than likely he'll have to try some promo scheme. Were it not for the 02 price and Daily Mail give away, we know P. couldn't have sold the number of tix he did last year...

I expected a bunch of tomatoes thrown at me for taking the risk to ask such questions. Considering the answers, I guess more than one are afraid cancellation would happen.

I drove by Paisley Park and sat at one restaurant ( I won't tell you which one to keep things confidential, but there aren't many restaurants out by Paisley Park) to discuss with a waitress who knows a lot about what is going on around there (she's been working there for 20 years), well there has been some moves for a couple weeks and then nothing at all. Prince seems to have cleaned out a few things and maybe took them with him to Los Angeles.

I don't doubt the man's talent, he is a genius. However he is still a tosser. I was once like you believe me, wouldn't hear a bad word about the man. However the last 6 months have cemented his position as king knob.

'Fukin dafty' ha ha, I quite like that, that's why I love the Scots so much. However if you cannot see my reasoning for calling the man a tosser, you are, what we call in Manchester, a muppet.

sad I pray he doesn't change his mind. I am having an op on the 31st March and my surgeon has just given me the ok to fly to Dublin on 16th June - it will help me to recover having a PRINCE concert to look forward to. He couldn't be that cruel - could he? sad
