Funny to see that, because tickets are on sale and MCD says it's gonna happen, everyone is considering as granted that Croke Park concert will actually take place.

Remember the Benindorm syndroma in Spain last year? EVERYONE (but Prince), including concert organizer and even the Mayor of the town itself confirmed during a press conference that Prince would come (they even published the confirmation letter).. and guess what happen?? sad

I do have some reasonable doubts considering:
1. No official statement from Prince or his representatives
2. No license granted to MCD for this concert (cf Irish Time recent article: http://www.ireland.com/ne...7753.html )
3. Recent Hip Surgery (even if some still wrongly consider this information as a gossip).

Sorry guys but I cannot be that optimistic neutral

... so far to my knowledge (MCD source) a bit more than 20K tickets have been sold (out of 70k potentially in this stadium). That's not even 1/3 to me .. and no, you're right, nothing's funny about that.
confused

Because some of us don't like paying huge mark-ups on our tickets. The sites above are not as bad as brokers but, like Ebay, they attract speculators that make it harder for everyone to get tickets first time round at face value.

There are only supposed to about 1500-2000 Gold Circle tix for Croke Park. The amount of them I've seen for sale means there must be a fair chunk of them sold to those with no intention of going to the concert, just making a fast buck off real fans.

just take a little look on eBay. It seems unfair that people steal these tickets away, just to make profit of 'em...

That's the way of the world.....
Just hit the tickets with 1 or 2 days remaining,I learned this at the O2 gig.

I bought my tickets off viagogo for £278 EACH around a month be4 the 21st Sep,stage side, only downside I had DJ Spoony trying to dance infront of me,lol, anyway logged onto viagogo 2 days before concert and the tickets for the seats beside me were going for £58.....Learned my lesson much, you betcha!!!!!

lol

ps,the seats were never taken beside me so the longer u leave it,the better deal and you'll always get where you wanna go..... razz
