100 QUID TO WATCH A DOT ???

as much as i love his music and talent....i cant bring myself to pay 100 pounds a ticket to see a dot on a stage on the other side of a huge bowl of a stadium ???....these things arent proper concerts....why not play a few nights at the point which is a great venue....i dont mind paying this kind of money for that but i am in no hurry to pay for this... mad

Totally agree with you on this, but have still booked a few days off from work just incase some decent tickets get released late on.

I think alot of people who have paid for their tickets probably feel the same way, but nothing worse than the feeling you may miss out on something special, alot of us have experienced Prince live in an intimate venue, and would like to experience his energy and feel for a big stadium concert...it may not be better than an inddor gig, but hey it will be great experience. all the same

The point is currently closed for a refurb/rebuild. Back in business at the end of the year as a 15,000 seater.

Yup, then flights, hotels etc etc, can't afford it. But I was wondering, on ticket master, it has the Croke Park gig, and also says, Dates Scheduled Nationaly, that mean that he might announce some more?

i also have to agree, even though i have now paid that amount, but can't help thinking have i booked it too hastly. my seat is in row 329, seat 17. i really do think it is too far away. Im a bit pissed off that i am going to have to watch him on the screen and for that price would of liked to been a bit closer.

Also had to pay for a flight out to ireland and yet to book a hotel and save some spending money. really hope that i don't regret it all. neutral

au contraire, I can back wolfy up to an extent on this: I remember seeing Sonny T and Michael B drinking pints of Guinness by the side of the stage that night.
I don't know wolfy so can't confirm whether he was there but i take him at his word for that one lol .....you'll have to ask someone else about the hairs on his chest razz

Stadium concerts are, in my opinion the best concerts to watch, provided you get a decent view.

As I mentioned in another thread I won't pay over the odds for gold circle. People might say I'm tight or what have you but the first time I watched him I queued all day and got very near the front and a couple of years later I got front centre thruogh queuing all day.

I feel that those who are willing to queue up should be rewarded not those who have more money. It's this sort of greed which makes me despise the bloke.

Not that I don't marvel at his genius just like the rest of you but the guy is a greedy git as well as his promotional teams.

MCD or whoever is promoting this event must have been licknig their lips after being given this gig, especially after the London residency.

Thats why I am passing on this one. He actually may even do an appearance in London being so close anyway.
