yeah i totally agree....i think anyone with lower tier will b paying just over 130 4 there ticket...its a complete n utter rip off.... what i normally do 4 gigs these days is eighter get my m8 2 send me comps r else read the local adverts n the papers...usually U get bargains there where folx cant go n will want 2 sell there tix sometimes at reduced cost. i was lucky 2 c george michael n U2 that way. here n ireland the cost of tix has gone through the roof with greedy per4mers n promoters. well n all fairness.....there is little £££ 2 b made from records these days so the main £££ is touring n merchandise. It's too bad that he's no longer offering presale tickets through a site like the now-defunct (defunked?) NPGMC. Those tickets had no Ticketmaster surcharges, even though they were pulled from Ticketmaster's system. And I thought it was a nice gesture for him to set aside the best seats for the die-hard fans. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

It is a real shame Prince isn't doing anything for his loyal fans who follow him through the good and bad times, NPGMC was good for that, being able to buy the best tickets direct without having the lottery of Ticetmaster etc. Even back in the 80's the fans were looked after by the fan clubs like Revolution and Controversy selling tickets direct to the fans before the tour tickets were released, so you normally got good tickets through them, he even distributed aftershow tickets through the fan clubs on the night of the gigs. | |
