NPGMC members. The word for today is ; After-CONCERT (!) Well, here we have it.
After the 1-800-new-funk 'fanclub', sorry, i don't even remember the name. But i got 1 issue of the magazine before it died. After all previous attempts to get the fans organised. (...) NPGMC members have to pay for an afterSHOW. (sorry, typo, its probably going to be called AFTERCONCERT from now on. $100 for the Bataclan. I can only imagine about Rotterdam Nighttown. T.

By the way,
Are soundchecks in the future going to be called PRE-CONCERT-GIG-BEFORE-THE-REAL-GIG-TO-MAKE-MORE-MONEY- (still frustrated, continuing) -BECOUSE-PRINCE-JUST-BOUGHT-A-$10.000.000-HOUSE-IN-CANADA ?? Money don't matter 2night... Hey, is this a Beatles kinda thing? As if the real Prince (= Paul) died some time ago. His imposter is trying to make extra money!?!??! T.

Don't be surprised if this is the last tour with the soundchecks for club members. I will be honest and say that if I was in Prince's band, I would object to having to be onstage to perform without being paid for 50 to over a 1,000 of his fan club members 2 hours before show time.
Playing jam sessions for an audience an hour before the show, a three hour regular show, and then another hour and half at an aftershow is too much.

Here are my thoughts, often in MPLS he gives it 4 free (or $7.00) just 4 the sake of the jam... friends coming 2gether 2 share the funk, the love and Joy of his blessed talent...
Now I know some would say, he needs to get a retribution 4 that talent, but isn't it what concerts are 4 ? I mean an aftershow is supposed 2 B like a surprise on christmas eve, the cherry on top of the well enjoyed cake, so 2 capitalize on that... that's beyond my comprehension... Will he ever realize that the people that Njoy his music have a day job that doesn't probably pay 1% of what he makes in an hour... That's not nice at all MR> Prince... Where's the love?

Love is certainly not in the money, Justin. Neither in music. It is just there.

Maybe for you, but for lots of musicians who love to play this is just pure fun... And it's not like they're playing non-stop they do take a break of an hour or more... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

They're soundchecking anyway, so what's the problem? And they're in their regular clothes, no stage clothes. It's a loose thing, nothing that will cost them extra energy. Playing jam sessions for an audience an hour before the show, a three hour regular show, and then another hour and half at an aftershow is too much. I work about 9 hours a day. Why should it be too much for a musician. Besides, they're having fun doing it. More fun than I'm having at my job.
