I'm thinking the reason that nothing is announced in Denmark - or any other places for that part - is because they might want to prevent people from travelling long distances to see Prince. I mean, Europe is so small these days with cheap airlines like Ryan and Easyjet. Maybe Prince is doing us a favour releasing tickets as close to the concert date as possible in order to make it easier for fans to get to see him!?? It could even be, that they will release the rest of the tour dates all on the same date!?? Yes, I actually believe a grand tour is about to happen!!!

A free newspaper in Denmark '24 timer' has an article about Prince coming to Århus. The person who is behind the event says that´s it almost certain, and that he expect to announce a date for the concert soon.

Found this article on underholdning.dk.msn.com. Sorry it's in Danish. But it says that Festivalkontoret (I guess the ones hosting the concert!?) are working on getting Prince to come to Denmark and are only waiting for a few things to fall into place.

I don't think whether Prince is coming or not is the big issue here. It's more all the details of security and logistics that are probably keeping us from getting the official announcement... Oh boy - it is really happening!!!

Direktør for Atletion, Peter Kjærsgaard, har for et par dage siden udtrykt, at han gerne vil udvide kapaciteten i NRGi Park med 10.000 mennesker, så tilskuerantallet kan komme op på 45.000.

Knud Bjerre bekræfter, at netop kapaciteten er én af de få uafklarede punkter i forbindelse med Prince-koncerten.

Says the same as the article above but also touches on ticket prices and whether or not two months is time enough to sell 45.000 tickets. They doubt tickets will cost more than the recently George Michael tickets (anyone know the price of these!?) and expect no problem of selling them as they say "it all depends on the artist"

Præcis dato mangler

Knud Bjerre vil endnu ikke afsløre den præcise dato for, hvornår Prince forventes at give koncert i Århus, men på internettet kan man se, at sangeren spiller i Dublin i Irland den 16. juni, hvilket bekræftes af Knud Bjerre.

Det giver arrangørerne et par måneder til at sælge de op mod 45.000 koncertbilletter.

Kan man nå det?

»Det kommer jo an på artisten, og med den forhåndsinteresse, vi har mærket i forhold til Prince, er jeg overbevist om, at det nok skal gå,« siger Knud Bjerre og henviser til, at koncerten (den første koncert, red.) med George Michael blev udsolgt på 27 minutter.

Knud Bjerre kan ikke udtale sig om prisen på billetterne, men han tvivler på at de bliver dyrere end til George Michael-koncerten.

Hey. I found that Knud Bjerre wasn't her father, but her uncle : )Anyway, I talked to Laura Bjerre yesterday and asked her if she knew anything. She told me that she didn't knew more than JP has written, but she was going to her uncles house same nigth to nanny'ing his two children and she would ask him about any news and then contact me.
She didn't call yesterday and I have tried contacting her several times today with no answer, but Laura isn't always easy to get contact 2 cuz she almost never use her phone, I'm sure she will call me later this nigth or maybe tomorow. And of course I will keep all your .orgers updated as soon I hear something : )

I'm sorry I havn't wrote anything yet in this forum about my contact to Laura . I talked to her yesterday and she told me that she have spoken to her aunt cuz her uncle wasn't at home. Her aunt had told her that she didn't knew more than the article in JP could tell, but she was sure that Knud would contact Ritzau as soon as he knew anything for certain.

I really really really need some confirmation very soon.... I check prince sites and www.princeiaarhus.dk, www.gaffa.dk, www.radio.tv2.dk, www.atletion.dk, www.festivalkontoret.dk multiple times everyday... Im going CRAZY... enjoying the ride of suspense, but not for long, anymore.. I read somewhere that Prince is supposed to start his european tour in Denmark and that he will arrive in denmark june 5.. hopefully there will be some tv apperances here in denmark... wouldnt that be great...
