They're a Northern Irish Rock band. Have supported The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, and upstaged them all!!

Should I assume they're not actually called 'Northern Irish Rock Band' - do they go by another name?

I don't think you can say fairer than the Oscar Party line-up - lets get Stevie up there supporting - bit of John Legend wouldn't hurt either. lol

They're actually called "The Answer". Irritating finding stuff on them because of that.

Ah, one can only dream of a surprise Stevie appearance. No to John Legend. Yawnsville.

I want Lenny, I want Lenny.....
Although Mr Santana is playing over here in summer so maybe he could be convinced, that would be well worth the extra money.

Good shout, they're knocking around with Sinead thesedays too though I don't know if things ever got patched up between her and Prince. Andrew Strong played support in 91.
I have a feeling it'll be Amy Winehouse cos she opened the final aftershow at the indigo.

i reckon it will be beverley knight she did a couple of the shows in london and played at the oscar afterparty show nod

i would possible suggest amy winehouse but i just dont think she is reliable sure she might show up and give an amazing show but it is just as likely she would show up high as a kite shrug

i wouldnt mind seeing Grupo Fantomas (sp?) again they were really good and nice and upbeat which got everyone in the right mood

to be honest i dont mind if there is no support act i dont think it really adds anything to the mainshow really neutral

Yup - can't see anything wrong with Mr L. Kravitz - he's playing some festivals. Bev. Knight ok in 02 - but really - could she fill a stadium with some impressive lungs? Likewise Ms Winehouse - far too small and couldn't sing out a stadium surely - we need someone with some balls!

Hehe, I believe from the tight fitting trouser pics that Prince is the one we'll be getting the balls from!
Anyway, support acts are great and all but I can't concentrate before a Prince gig with all those butterflies in my tummy. Ohh I've got them now thinking about it!

Yeah - that's the point of support acts - to try and calm me down and distract me a little before I completely lose it - either that or we have to play silly 'name a Prince song starting with the letter.... thingee' games with Prince songs and I lose!
