I already posted on another thread how he DIDNT change any rules. I'm not gonna tell you again.

The fact if he did or didn't change rules is very thin.
It's a show after the normal concert.
The aftershow (!) has a different setlist form the normal show.
There's nothing different between an aftershow or a late night concert' or whatever you can call it.
It IS an aftershow, $100 or not.

So it's just a fact he changes the rules (!) whenever he needs some cash. Some cash yes. Even $100,000.- (1000 tickets of $100) is peanuts when your name is Prince.
(cash pours in all the time from royalties, etc, etc)

And especially this is why it's unpleasant, irritating and unnecessary. It's childish. Filling one hole with another.
Etc.

I realise my mistake now.

It is glaringly obvious that you simply don't understand English. That is the reason for all this confusion.

So I apologize to each and every Hollander smile

And i apology for all the dutch fans. guess where just the pathethic kind. But also the most dedicated and sick ones. Where not used to those "american" standards that everything should be big and over the top.

Polite question for Udo:

How many concerts have you been too?

Polite answer: (wink)
8 normal shows
2 'after' shows aka 'late night' concerts

Question from my side: do these numbers really matter?

Ah! NOw numbers don't matter...

I'm only joking with you really-

It would be interesting to know why concerts are all different prices, London $100 but Manchester and Dublin cheaper if I remember rightly.

But we're never going to find out.

I don't think it would help to wave banners at concerts though.

Prices seem to go up every new tour but if they were ever more tham $100 I don't think I'd go.

Do you remember when NPGMC sent that e-mail asking what people would be prepared to pay for the Celebration 2002 (I didn't go) and they way they said, if Prince played everynite etc etc.

I sent them a terribly polite e-mail saying that it should be a question of practical economics, X amount to turn a respectable profit given the numbers etc.

They never posted any of the replies on U tell us. Sometimes I think they just don't think. It came across as just a plea for loads of cash. In the end it was reasonably priced though, no?
But somehow I just found that mail intutively offensive.

In my mail I even said that some people would be prepared to pay silly amounts and that this would be an abuse, to take advantage. I doubt Prince would assign music a monetary value so why should we?

But to get back to your mail- I haven't read through all the posts. So I shouldn't have commented.

Peace- I is out!

THESE numbers. wink

I know. No worries. NPGMC still owes me so no problem.

It would be interesting to know why concerts are all different prices, London $100 but Manchester and Dublin cheaper if I remember rightly.

Different venue (size, rental price, etc), different country/area (price level), different promotor, diferent mood of the day, etc, etc

But we're never going to find out.

It's not that complicated.

I don't think it would help to wave banners at concerts though.

Oh no, but at least the idea that some of us are concerned with this kind of practices.
I don't expect a sudden policy change but at least a certain awareness. It's like complaining to our Postbank for charging 5(!) euro's for a replacement pass (simple credit card sized apss with magnetic strip) when the pass has gone bad due to normal handling and usage.
(yes, I do things like that, I have enough time on my hands and this is a valid problem)

Prices seem to go up every new tour but if they were ever more tham $100 I don't think I'd go.

Hmmm. Depends on a few factors for me.
Income, timing, location, tour (trend...), etc.

Do you remember when NPGMC sent that e-mail asking what people would be prepared to pay for the Celebration 2002 (I didn't go) and they way they said, if Prince played everynite etc etc.

Vaguely, yes.

I sent them a terribly polite e-mail saying that it should be a question of practical economics, X amount to turn a respectable profit given the numbers etc.

Indeed.

They never posted any of the replies on U tell us. Sometimes I think they just don't think. It came across as just a plea for loads of cash. In the end it was reasonably priced though, no?

Yes. Reasonable enough when compared to the pricing of the recent tour.

Oh, doesn't really matter. Just make sure replies make some sense. wink

AND FINALLY-

where and why did the Dutch get this label of complaining?

I know this is a dreadful genrealisation BUT I never met a Dutch person I didn't like.

I really like the Dutch. Did a spot of travelling and meet a few. They weren't all, like my best mates but the Dutch are cool.

As far as you can like a nation, give me the Dutch!

I have to say most ducth fans we met on this tour really pissed us off.

They act everywhere like if they were at home. It seems that they have their rules and they assume everybody should have the same ones.

I was observing dutch fans during the shows. They seemed to have no fun whatsoever. Please guys learn to SMILE. Chill out. Take it easy and stop putting this arrogant face 24/24 7/7.

and...when you come in the summer to the beach that is 200 yards from my place pick up all your crap before you leave..and when you are on your way back from the night club on the road stop singing out loud at 4am like if you were singing in a pub...and stop stealing the bins on the streets to leave them by the shore or...to throw them on the railtracks (that is so clever fucking pricks!). Stop getting pissed everynight...I'm sure it will help a lot.

And don't you dare saying I don't like fucking dutch people.

well i agree on the 'pathetic ' thing

Well if you are not used to those american standards,
WHY do you expect them and then complain like bastards
when what you get is NOT 'big and over the top' ?

This is getting silly and fingers pointing...I am Canadian (and am from India) and was at the concerts van Nederland. The Dutch fans are really into it and support Prince and complain (like any sane person should). Yes Prince is a genius and we are all into his art but intelligent criticism is healthy & smart. Yes there were NPGMC members charging like bulls at Ahoy members area 10/15 BUT people act foolish like this everywhere. At the hamilton show (here in Canada) - very small group in the members line - like under 100 and as we were allowed into the hall this fucker behind me pushed cut me off (while walking quickly) just so he could get a better seat. I say screw the fuckers worldwide! Never blame ethinicity - it leads to real evil! Humans are flawed, that's it! -Praveer

Oh, ya I paid the fucking $100 and such for Nighttown. Sure Prince should have let in members and cahrged guests - but he still kicks ass! Hats off to Woerden! smile
