Ticket Price Info from Ticketmaster

Hi

There will be 5 different Ticket Prices for the Croke park gig.

66.50, 88.50 and 108.50 are all standing ticket prices. The whole pitch area is standing. Obviously, 3 different penned off areas, with 108.50 being the closest to the stage, 88.50 in the middle and 66.50 at the back.

116.50 and 126.50 are seated tickets. I would imagine that 126.50 is lower tier seating, and 116.50 is upper tier.

biggrin

Good Luck

They are seriously bad value for an 80,000 seater stadium.

hi - thanks for the info - helps to plan b4 the 8am panic buy on wednesday...(shaky hands/beating heart/sweaty brow etc etc)

just wondered - I am a short person and want to be able to see without neckache, footache etc...but the seated tickets seem expensive - does anyone know if they are much better and worth the money?

or do i just go for the middle section of the standing block? but then i still might not be able to see anything! so might as well have spent the extra money on standing at the front? (if TM will let me, which is another matter altogether...)

what's the general consensus?

The problem is, we never know!

They could add a VIP front section after the initial sale, or boxes, or purple passes. The front section might end up at te back of the symbol stage.

Thinking about it, it could be bedlam in a standing area around the symbol stage once 50% of the crowd realise they can't see anything when the show starts!

Thanks for the ticket information pricing Colm - I've been trying to get that for last few days, rang the promoter again today and they did not have that detail to share.

however, they were 100% adament it is not in the round and there is no symbol stage.same setup as Neil Diamond is planned. I am really surprised people would think the symbol stage can work in a stadium with no roof. for those at 02 last year you would be aware the lighting is very close to the stage to allow for the unusual stage design and worked off a mechanical arm where it could zoom in / out depending on song being performed. such a setup in croke park is impossible.

let me see u get wild

jeez - once I add in my air fare (not all that great once Ryanair have added all their 'extras' in) - hotels/ travel/ food and drink - and the incredibly eye-watering ticket prices - I am going to have seriously big hole in pocket. I was hoping to go to Paris too - but if hubbie ever finds out how much I am spending on going to Dublin - he;ll kill me - so really not a lot of point even thinking about Paris too. Did we just get spoilt by 02 prices - or is this how much people pay to stand in a huge stadium with 80,000 other people?

I really don't think its gonna be a centre stage. If it was it would be advertised as such in much the same way as every poster for the O2 shows pushed the centre stage concept - "EVERY SEAT A GOOD SEAT!!" etc. None of the press or radio ads for the Croke park gig have mentioned a centre stage.

Standard stage setting methinks!

He could afford the £31.21 price for O2 tickets because of the money he saved on staying in the same venue rather than shipping up and going from city to city with the same number of dates. Those low ticket prices were a real exception to the norm.

That whole set up was a TV show production first and foremost, moreso than an actual live experience.

Exactly. If anything, it shows the stage can work in the middle of a stadium.

its kind of bad form from ticketmaster that so close to tickets going on sale that there is such a lack of info, like a seating plan.

Oh yeah, might be a bit harder to be wheeled on in a box through a huge stadium. Unless they dig a whole in the middle of the pitch and he swims through the sewers biggrin
