Thoughts on the North Sea Jazz Festival

When I was at the Maceo Parker show last night, I got into a conversation with one of his bandmembers about Jazz festivals in Europe. I mentioned that I was thinking about going to Montreaux and he said the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland kicks Montreaux's ass. Really. lol So I was wondering if any orgers out there have been to this festival and what are your thoughts on North Sea vs. Montreaux. Thanks, in advance, for the input. biggrin

NSJ 2007 was very nice.
Depending on what you are looking for, of course.

Sunday was great with Candy D & friends, Marcus Miller, The Family Sly and Stone and later Snoop if I recall correctly.

Of course there were a few more rooms to go to and see different styles.
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Thanks! How do the two festivals differ?

I will try it this year. Just brought early bird tix for the whole weekend for 165€ each. It`s a reasonable price I think. I`ve heard only positive feedbacks from the last years.
