Totally agree. As a veteran 100+ prince gigger, I would still place the Point 95 gigs as the best non aftershow performances I've seen!

Totally agree with that, those shows were simply unreal, when Squirrel after 100+ shows says this, believe, BTW which one did you prefer, the wednesday or thursday?
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I think it was the Wednesday one. Is that the one they gave out the NPG t-shirts and they were making a video?

Generally, I seem to like the opposite nights to the majority fan base. Out of the two Emporium aftershows, everyone raves about the second one being one of the greatest aftershows ever. I prefered the first one!

both were amazing...esp. seeing p arriving thru the side door of the POD, in shades and with the cane, while only me and a photograper were standing there to see his entrance was a night I will never forget ! razz

I was at both, but the wednesday show was something else, to be fair, you would have to have been there to understand, it was so hot, that the following night was completely sold out, I have a boot of it here, which is a nice memory, especially that the place that made them, burnt down the following nite lol

On the upside, Croke park is a decent venue with proper facilities, and the RDS is a shithole, so it's bound to be better.

As far as non-fans, there were plenty of them at the '95 Point gigs too, can't be avoided.

It's those paying "non-fans" who sold out 21 shows in London, and will no doubt be heavily relied upon to fill up Croke Park.

I agree, the big difference is, I know a lot of casuals who only went to the O2 because it was so cheap. If the tickets had be £50, they wouldn't have gone.

Yeah the two gigs in the Point (95) were amazing. The big stadium shows are never ideal - the RDS (92) was just a big bloody field smile Croke Park will definitely be better than RDS though, no worries there.

PS on the 95 Point Depot Wednesday vs Thursday debate... I loved my free NPG t-shirt on Wednesday, but Thursday was a much longer set so I enjoyed it more.

Yeah it's getting a big push on the radio, I know lots of non-fans keen to go too. I think they'll sell out, especially considering all the European and UK fans takign advantage of cheap flights to Dublin.
