The thread for all those making the trip from England to the Dublin show!

Hey purple people who's going? Where shall we meet? Who is staying where? And who's buying the first round of Guiness?

I've just booked my mega cheap 1p flights with Ryan Air for me and my mate (by the time they sting you with taxes and handling charge = £16.01). Still, I couldn't get a taxi more than 5 miles for that where I live.

Now for venue tickets. Anyone fancy clubbing together and we get a VIP box?

Anyone got the inside track?

As a rule ryan air don't get my money, I am not booking anything on a whim after last year - but a shared box does sound tempting hmmm

Hiya. I'm gonna check Ryanair now. A bit pressured and undecided on when to fly out and return!?!?

I'm well up for contributing to the box. I'd rather be jumping and dancing around in a freer space than crushed down on the pitch.

Squirrelmeat! How long you staying in Dublin for?

Me and the Mrs will be there and are booked up. Going to make a weekend of it so got somewhere central to stay (Dylan) rather than close to the venue. Does anyone know if the aftershow venues are usually in central Dublin locations?

Also - are we

A) all going to look for tickets at 8am on Wednesday (regardless of our opinions of Ticketmaster) just to see whats offered and then wait until nearer the time for better seats or

B) all going to see whats offered, make a panic decision and buy almost regardess of position and then try and sell them on when better spots become available nearer the time

I am opting for B.

In another message you said it wouldn't be arranged until the day of the concert..methinks you are trying to be mr know it all pretending to know all the facts so people show you that attention you seem to be lacking!

Dude! I'm flyout out from Stansted on the 12.00 Monday, back on Tuesday morning on the 8.15. So I'm only going the one night. I might even stay out all night and then head straight back to the airport. It all depends if there is an aftershow.

I'm going to leave the hotel issue unit the date is confirmed.

Flight and parking at Stansted totals 20 quid for me, so its going to be much cheaper than Milan or Paris.

Update!

I'm just found good single rooms for £33!

Ok, just tried ryanair. Tickets I wanted were 25 but then they wanted another 18 just for a bag!!!! Still cheap I suppose, but then with the stansted express there and back and other connections it's gonna get closer to 80.

I'm thinking I'd rather put it towards a few days in Paris.

I'm not thinking too well as I'm panicking that the Ryanair flights Sale ends by 5 and that's the B all and end all of transport.

Think I'm gonna wait til next week and re-assess all the options.

I still prefer the idea of a box to a standard ticket though!!!

With 80,000 seats and other European dates on the cards, I think I'm going to wait and see what's up later or on Ebay. Unless the VIP/Box price is too good to resist.

Mate. Totally ignore my last!

I've just booked the same flights for £17. Gotta be worth it! I'm sure there's got to be some kind of 24hr drinkery place in Dublin to continue til its time for the flight back as well.

Let me know about the box as soon as you have news? Cheers Mate! 0+>

I'm still in shock that he's returning to Europe so soon after "the summer that changed everything"! I was convinced that he wouldn't be here again for years and years. Are you guys surprised?

Option B for me too. Can't risk waiting for better tickets. Also can't face day after day pressing refresh on TM again...there again, I'm starting to look back on that quite fondly.

Easter

OHMIGOD! cannot believe he's back - I've been trying so hard to get over him since the summer - now I'm all crazy again. Can't concentrate. spent afternoon on ryanair/ hotels.com etc. - getting flights (1p from Leeds on Sat! and 1p return on Tues - hurrah for Leeds airport!). I have rellies who live hour out of Dublin - so just need hotel for night of concert - but then thinking might get hotel in centre just in case of after-show - would this in be in central Dublin? Also - scuzzy (sister) and I will DEFN. be in for sharing a VIP box as we're a tad on the short side and I really don't fancy being a mile away and not seeing anything! dancing with other orgers in a box is defn. the way to go! it's my birthday tomorrow and I'm going to really struggle to give a shit.... just want to talk about Prince! here we go again!!! now.... how do I persuade hubby to let me go to Paris????
If anybody asks you, I belong to Prince....
