Charging $100 limits the numbers into this small venue. If he was charging £30, everybody would snap at the chance, and hundreds would be moaning that they didn't have a chance to get a ticket because it would sell out in seconds and how unfair that was...[/quote]

Sorry but the price does not limit the numbers, the size of the venue does that. if a venue can hold 1000 people it doesn;t matter if it costs $1 or $500, there will still only be a max of 1000 people there.

What is upsetting people is that Prince/the NPGMC has just changed the rules a week before then end of the Euro tour.

What is wrong is NPGMC saying on their site that members typically get free entrance to after party/shows and then renaming the aftershow as a 2nd "concert" and charging $100 entrance.

As a member I hope people respond to this by boycotting both Paris and Rotterdam late nite shows.

If very few members buy tickets for these shows during the presale then it will get the message across to Prince very quickly that his club members expect better treatment and certainly are not gonna be taken for rich fools who will pay any amount that he asks.

As others on here have already said it just ain't right!

The people who are going to the 'regular' shows wether they are members or not may get a considrably shorter concert than they might have otherwise expected and the people who are shelling out $100/Euro 100 for the 'late night' show well can they expect a much longer show than the 'regular' show? After all they are paying almost 3 times as much; will the late night show be 3 times as long?? I doubt it very much sad

39 US $ for the concert in Paris is not expensive ! as the Euro is at the same rate as US $.
we do pay 100 US $ in Montreal.
As I can tell U , night clubs in France are always expensives, around 35 or 40 US $ for the entrance and 1 drink.
But 100 US $ for an after show! Xenophobia was only 250 US $ for an entire week !!!

What kind of clubs do you usually go??!!
Night clubs are not more expensive in France than anywhere else in Europe, Even hyped clubs don't charge that much. Besides, when the price seems to be a little high, it always includes a free drink. You usually pay 8-10 Euro for admission.

As for The Bataclan, I often go there to see shows, and I 've never paid 100$. For example, when I saw George Clinton there 3 years ago, it cost me less than 30 Euro or $. Don't blame the venue.
