the main reason he is playing europe lately is the fact that the euro is at its strongest against the US currency.
prince will make a million euro profit 4 that show at croker n thats after the band etc r paid off....he is a very clever business man.
also prince was told if there is demand that another concert could b he held the nite after where he would b guaranteed the same ££.

The funny thing is, it's cheaper for me to get to Dublin and see Prince there than it was to go to London!! And I live in Birmingham!

Well, it'll end up costing more since I have family in London and I will have to get a hotel in Dublin.

But still - I paid £35 for each train ticket to London and I went to the O2 four times.

I can't wait!!

HAHA! Thats good to know cause I live just outside Brum and it cost a fortune for me to drive my battered 4x4 down there and to park!!!! Oh please release tickets like last time - i.e. staggered....

80.000 tickets at a price of at least 66.50 each= 5,320,000.- euro's which equals $8,034,672.18 USD!! eek

I do wonder if Prince could fill Croker nowadays though.

In the days of the Pairc Uí Chaoimh and the RDS shows he was selling a lot more records. Ach, what am I saying, it'll be full of British fans taking advantage of cheap Ryanair flights smile

Random comments and thoughts.

- June 16 is a Monday. I think I'll need two days off work.
- June 16 is Bloomsday. I doubt if there will be any references to Ulysses during the show.
- how quick will this sell out on Wednesday, do y'all think? I will be at my laptop at home at 8am with visa at the ready to log on to ticketmaster. How are my chances?
- the big question: AFTERSHOW?????
- what about that get together then? we need to rehearse lol

A question about ticketmaster
When you go online can you choose the seats you want? How do you do this?
For london i got them from an amazing orger and was so desperate when i did go on ticketmaster took what was there.
Just was wondering about that.
Hope someone can help me.

Thanks

if that stadium arrangement was used it'd suck for the people at the back. i'd love a standing ticket. i just queued for the smashing pumpkins for 9 hours to get to the front. worth it, i'm prepared to queue much longer than that for this.

its going 2 b the symbol stage again this time round im being told.....
that is all subject 2 change of course cause prince can change his mind a lot...all i know 4 sure is the symbol stage is what they r going with 4 now anyway.
if the 02 shows r anything 2 go by anyone with floor seats around the stage will have a shit view of the entire stage n will miss out on the light show effects so he might go with the stage they used at wembley stadium n 1993 n use giant sceens 4 the centre of the pitch 4 the folx @ the back.
personally im going with a stand ticket this time round as U will b able 2 take n the entire event n U wont b squashed n the front as u get tossers spilling drink over U n just being a prat pushing U all over the place.
wolfy is getting 2 old 4 that now un4tunatly.
apparantly the aftershow wont b organised till the last minute on the day of the concert n the venue will b top secret.
more then likely it will b at spirit r the pod...folx have even mentioned whealans.
another thing is if the spirit aftershow n 2002 was anything 2 go buy they have a strict dresscode...i.e...no trainers jeans etc.....lol.
would b great if they did a presale on ticketmaster 4 the aftershow 4 NPGMC members where we get an Xclusive code by e mail b4 hand 2 buy tix.

when i have booked in the past with ticketmaster, you look for 'best available' of the type you want, (standing or sitting), and hope for the best. before you confirm to buy you can check out the seating plan to see where you will be.

Whelans!!! That'd be cool - in line with the real music, real musicians vibe. Bit of a hike crosstown for it and The Pod - might help thin down the crowd trying to get into the aftershow.

i thought both the stands and the floors seats were good i was happy on all the times i went biggrin though i have to agree with you about how annoying the drunk people were not just at the mainshow but also the aftershows

i am so gonna get lost trying to find the aftershow sad

as 4 the NPGMC getting a password i dont want that to happen i never got to be a member as it shut about a month before i became a big fan i already feel like i have missed loads by not ever being a member and enjoying all that stuff sad

I totally thought about you when i found out that prince was going to play in dublin!!!!! i'm sure a lot of people did

Are you on some kind of medication? Do you honestly think that Prince goes anywhere because thats what the "fams" want and just because one person asks him to goto Ireland he does it LOL - look how long it took him to return to Australia and I am sure lots of "fams" were asking him to go back there too.

Who says he loves Ireland, oh don't tell me your taken in by that "I love you" *insert current country \ town \ city nonsense...he says that everywhere he goes.

Prince's career is down to financials these days..if its viable and he wants to do it..he'll do it..you don't think he'd do 21 Nights In London for the fun of it do you?

If he plays Ireland it won't be because of you so get over it, if he does play Ireland then please don't book VIP seats, I don't think I could stand more months of whinging when all you got was a bottle of fizzy water and some cheese sticks!

You had a nice reputation on the NPGMC message boards if I remember and it wasn't favourable.

ha ha...U r always attacking my threads/responces....i know U r the 1 person with a few different names on here as well as the NPGMC...
i honestly dont care what anyone thinks about me cause at the end of the day U dont know me n never will thank god as n real life i would not give U the time of day.
this is a message board n U get ur jollys by making snide comments all the time.
prince n bono r the best of friends n prince has often been n ireland while on tour n when he was on vacation.
we get all the big names here like michael jackson who lived here n recorded n county wicklow recently after his ordeal n the states.
folx here leave celebs n peace n harmony n we the irish fams r the best audience n the world.
heh heh...no point n tellin U 2 go get a life n leave me alone as that would leave U with nothing else 2 do n ur little world.
