Just got the new Bootsy Collins album "Play With Bootsy", damn funky stuff - very Prince-sounding!!! Check out epecially 'Groove Eternal' (Unbelievable!), 'Don't Let Em' (with Rosie Gains, Macy Gray and Snoop Dogg), and 'Funky and U know it'(with George Clinton!). All the Purple People will get the funky face. Can't recommend it high enough!!! Pick up a shovel... and dig it!!!

Yeah Bootsy! Saw him in Nighttown tearing off the roof of that sucker. When I heard Prince playing 'America' on bass in Antwerp I thought that it will not take long for Prince to ask Bootsy to do some funking together. P-funk y'all, it's universal!

To me Bootsy is the best 'funk' bassplayer alive... He might drop new tracks, but I still can't forget the oldschool-funk-days with James and George...

Im feelin' it. Im thinkin the person credited as the The One is Prince. Listen 2 the track Dance To The Music. As well as sounding alot like him the lyrics are so Prince. It features the lyric "ultrasexypowersoul".

I heard the rumor too, about Prince being credited as The One on Bootsy's album.

there was also a guy on the german newsgroup de.alt.fan.prince, who said that he has met mousse t. at the concert in berlin and asked him about this. mousse t. is one of the producers of the album, and he also denied the rumor about prince on the record. if you understand german, see for yourself:
