Anyone made a request at a soundcheck on this UK/Europe tour..& had it granted?

i would love 2 request a song...like Gett Off, eye H8 U,or She's Always In My Hair or Electric Chair when Prince comes down under.

Has anyone requested Prince 2 play a song at Soundcheck,& had him oblige?

During the soundcheck in Antwerp, Prince was going to stop but some people yelled empty room and he played it. He even said at one point, when everybody was yelling a song title something like: please make up your mind, your one groupe, try to find one song...

my 2 cents: let him play what he wants, he's not a jukebox...I'm sure he'll play some wonderful surprise and everyone will be happy. I think about the fab versions of "Thank you", "D.M.S.R" and "Days of wild" he played at the London soundchecks...
cheers

during the soundcheck on Friday 4th Oct in London, Prince asked for volunteers to sing along. Two of the vocalists chose their own song (Girls & Boys / HCUDCMA) so I guess you could say they were requests.

Indeed I asked to sing "AnnaStesia", he said no, I asked to sing "Money don't matter" he said yes but then said: "What about Shake?" wink
Well, this is different from asking him to sing a song for us...
Anyway, it was fun to pick up a song from his book, there are some strange ones in it, as "God"!
cheers

Yep, "The Stick" at Rotterdam's soundcheck...
Asked it before they let everyone in... Didn't get a response though just a look and an hour later he played it...

Some girl on stage at the end of the Dublin Gigg cheekily asked him to play "Controversy" but the said something along the lines of "This isnt a request show" and played "Pop Life" instead.

The song "Elephants & flowers" was shouted. (actually played at Xenophobia week). That's when Prince commented that we're all one, and call different songs.

-- so many songs, so little time --

Peace & B wild!

Just make/let him play '6' during the Funk (WNPG?) part...
Or during the aftershow.
It looks so logical but didn't happen (yet).

Oh, and 'AUTOmatic' of course.
I really would like to hear that song live.

In Oslo, some woman asked him very nicely to play The Beautiful Ones. His answer was a sweet "Okay" and then he made a big deal about this before he played Nothing Compares in the concert. Seems his memory ain't all that good anymore, but that don't matter.

When he asked for a good place for the afterparty, I said: "My place" and he said "Tssk... you gon have to get a place first, so you just set yourself up! And I got the microphone, so..." But he was grinning and it was all cool.
