I went to the Saturday concert thinking Prince would likely play an aftershow that night, at least giving him a little rest before the next show. And boy, was that an aftershow and a half!
Some people say it was too short but it seemed to last forever to me and it's the most fun I've ever seen Prince. Song titles don't do it justice because the best aspect of the performance was the really playful attitude and raw funk that Prince was providing with the band. Automatic, Shake, The Work, Dolphin blues version, Sign O The Times, Tamborine, Sexy Dancer, and Soul Power to give you an idea. Another highlight for me was the acoustic encore of the actual concert, Don't Play Me, 7, Pink Cashmere, Caller ID (an excellent and very funny take on telemarketers, bill collectors & fanatics'), One Kiss At A Time. The final encore incidentally was Alphabet St, Days Of Wild and Joy In Repitition. And for those interested in the soundcheck details, Muse 2 The Pharoah, D.M.S.R, Strollin, and Alphabet St. I invited my childhood sweetheart as my guest, she absolutely loved every minute of it despite not knowing anything that was played except 7. Thanks Prince, and see you in Paris on the 28th...

Not only all of the above, but LEO SAYER was in the house!
You Make Me Feel Like Dancin', sho'nuff. Whole Lotta Love was the highestlight of many highlights...Dido left half way through Family Name...tut tut, she missed a fantastic guitar solo.

I have a lot to celebrate that day, besides my birthday, so I just keep telling myself: "2 November in Rotterdam: I will b there, and I will enjoy it asthough he is singing only for me." So if anyone speaks to The Man himself... ask him to sing: "Happy birthday 2 U" for me [This message was edited Mon Oct 14 6:30:52 PDT 2002 by billyjackbitch]

I was at the London shows on the Thursday & Friday. I had the most amazing time. I would say Thursday was my fav' show because Prince worked the guitar more. Rock n'Roll forever more! The crowd was reasonably good. It seems Prince has a definite soft spot for London. However, for the record the Glasgow crowd would easily kick London’s butt! Glasgow ‘Gets Wild’, louder and generally more enthusiastic. < Let the debate begin. <
Another one for the record is ‘the rainbow children’ certainly is not… “pearls b4 the swine”.

the definition of we could B quite alarming...some peeps are simply MORBID as all get out U could stick them in a room with laughing gas and come out thinkN mayB it aint workn...and then there are the majority of ALL the frickN people who go to a P and the NPG thats P NPG concert and (PNPG) Positive New Power Generation and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT...so the FUN well Im sure U are at least energized til he comes back next year...and why not? heck A world tour...every year...hmmm who knows...
so the WE of havN fun would B those who got to get to the concerts to automatically have it...for those who did not GO...simply GO when he/they come. I wouldnt have been surprised if I threw myself on the floor but I didnt, of course! She was very angry with me 4 embarassing her like that in front of the club & everyone but I just couldnt help it! She was gonna have us stand there & watch him walk in IF he walked in through the front...that wouldve been such an agonizing tease... She broke down after she realized I was damn near was gonna faint with the idea of not seeing him anymore that night. She's hesitant to go with me 2 Minn if he has another celebration. &
