who gives a damn about the reviews? the only complaint i have about that set list is not enough material from post 1992 that's what i want 2 hear post era stuff

bad reviews = prince loosing fans

no fans = no concerts as theres no one to play to.

prince has to include at least kiss, lets go crazy and purple rain becuase the majority of people wanna hear them and like them. most people would feel dissapointed if they went to a rince concert and didnt hear any of the clasics.

When Prince played ONA in Hammersmith '02, he didn't play any of them 3 songs. Admittedly because of that the shows didn't get good commercial reveiws, but as a fan the set list was amazing, especially for Balad of Dorothy Parker, Sometimes it snows in April, and Don't Play Me!

Screw the Critics and the reviews. Play for the Fans!!!

at a prince concert theres usually 50% "hardcore" fans and 50% "casual" fans who remember a few of hes biggest hits.

at this point in hes career, prince cant afford to take "ONA" style risks. he has to cater for everyone

He's just done that for 21 nights!!!!

To follow it up with a ONA style set of gigs would be great for the fans and hopefully a treat for the new fans that he's attracted from his recent greatest hits stint.

I do agree with everything you've said but for me, after 22 years of being a fan and seeing nearly 40 live shows (and then all the bootleg shows that I've got hold of) my list reflects either what I've still never seen, or still not seen enough of!

u would b surprised if u just read some others posts that r tired of hearing the hits and really liked tours like the ONA tour that featured more rarities than hits nod
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

clapping and when prince has played those rare songs u can hear how people in the audience go nuts!!! prince has a large volume of songs that have never been showcased live that people would love 2 hear rather than the 200 billion times songs like kiss, lrc, lgc and that damn purple rain that would keep us entertained 4 hours

Yes! I would love to see an acoustic concert--just Prince and his guitar. cloud9

But if I can't get that then:

Ditch The Twinz, Cora, Josh, & all but one horn player. (Maceo can stay. lol)
    Bring Sheila back on drums.
Get funky again (days of wild!) wildsign

what about renato? can he stay? he's funky!!!

no no no! Not as funky as FINK! dancing jig

The beauty of Prince really is...that he's a work of art in progress and no matter what we ask him to play or whom to perform with--we all know he's doing it Prince's way. And just as I have been for the last 25 years that I've been a fan(wow that makes me old huh), and the lights go down- boom! -I just hope I'm surprised like I have been for the previous 24 years.
Peace baby!

Imagine a show where all single releases were not allowed!!!

An entire show purely made up of b-sides and album tracks.

Personally that would be Bliss!!!!!

OH YES!!!! Songs from The Family, Jill Jones, The Time, Sheila E! fantastic!

I'd really love to hear him do versions of Wendy and Lisa's material from their 4 albums.

Imagine Prince doing a Wendy and Lisa tribute album? I wonder what tracks he would choose? hmmm idea

He should come out, play the entire "Batman" LP from start to finish then say "goodnight" and break out.

I like the idea of a personal performance, just me and Prince. My set list would consist of

The ? of U
Do me Baby
Scandalous
Shhh
Slow Love

Get my drift.....
so, what is the answer 2 the question of U

What happened to the boycott!? We were all mad at P like 2 weeks ago??!! You all are so fickle.

When he comes to my town I am holding a big ol' sign outside the arena saying and chanting "Down with Prince".

Then i am going to put my sign back in my car, change my clothes and my wig and sit in the second row like the fan that I am! LOL

it's about the music as well 4 me and i'm tired of the 80's music dominating his live shows while the current music gets pushed 2 the side. he needs 2 go back 2 the way he was doing shows in 94-february of 1996 nod

Prince is my boy. I've been a fan forever and wouldn't have it either way but lately his actions have been unnecessary. I mean seriously, sueing people for playing videos of THEIR OWN CHILDREN just because his music was playing in the background is absurd! He gets the Picket Signs!!!

(until the concert starts)..well you know the rest. LOL

I'd prefer us orgers to hire him for a private show, I wonder how much it would cost to get Prince for one of these private party shows ? if all us orgers got together and setup a kitty, we could raise the cash and have our own private party, forget about the O2 and debates about when/where he tours, this would be much cooler,

We could have a vote for tracks to play and give him the list, imagine his face !!!! lol I reckon your talking £200,000 for a nite, so if 2000 of us put in £100 each, we got Prince for the night to do a gig, hey, I paid £500 for 2 VIP (not) tickets at the O2, so this is cheap and great value compared.

How much would you pay and what song would you choose?

My nominated song choice would be Around the world in a day, and as we're paying, I vote for an unplugged session.

This is abit of a duplication of a post I just put in for the 40'th gig he recently played in the hangar, but I figured its relevant for this as its the gig I'd love to see, Prince unplugged and just have orger's there !!!
