Antwerp Setlist Please don't shoot me when I switched some songs .
The Rainbow Children Pop Life Xenophobia Money Don't Matter 2Nite The Work prt.1 Purple Rain 1+1+1=3 Housequake Sex Machine Love Rollercoaster Strollin' Gotta Broken Heart Again Sign Of The Times When You Were Mine Take Me With You Raspberry Beret The Everlasting Now Piano Medley (solo): Delirious Adore I Wanna Be Your Lover Condition Of The Heart Do Me Baby Diamonds And Pearls Sometimes It Snows In April The Beautiful Ones (solo + band after first part) Strange Relationship Starfish And Coffee Nothing Compares 2 U The Ladder Days Of Wild Prince was great ! By moments I thought James Brown was playing, sometimes I thought Jimmy hendrix was back alive . I een thought for a second during sign of the times, he's gonna play the strings by his teeth, and by his feet when he laid the gitar on the floor . Like a paper this week said, on disk he's an emperor , live he's the KING . Thank you for this great show and , it's now official , we're funkier than Holland . Prince said it after Purple Rain so it must be the truth . One thing was not so good, the truck with the tourbooks never reached Antwerp, so for the first time I haven't got a tourbook . UNLESS THERE'S A FELLOW BELGIAN FAN WHO WANTS TO BUY ME ONE AT ANOTHER SHOW . Please visit my site www.princeinbelgium.tk and mail me your reviews . I want a site where fans can read fanreviews from past shows the next time he visits Belgium again . Thanx [This message was edited Fri Oct 18 21:06:47 PDT 2002 by Purpel] [This message was edited Fri Oct 18 21:12:39 PDT 2002 by Purpel] [This message was edited Sat Oct 19 6:15:15 PDT 2002 by Purpel] [This message was edited Sat Oct 19 6:22:00 PDT 2002 by Purpel] Write your REVIEW and SETLIST in the forum : http://princeinbelgium.tk/

Purpel said: Thank you for this great show and , it's now official , we're funkier than Holland . Prince said it after Purple Rain so it must be the truth . musta been cuz of all the dutchies helping you guys out tonight;) i swear there were more dutch clubmembers there than belgian ... and prince played with that a couple of times ... prince actually refered to a couple of things he said on the 15th in rotterdam On the 15th in Rotterdam he said that he practiced playing purple rain for holland .. of course this is not a statement you tend to believe. Then, in Antwerp he said he actually practiced it for Holland, but if the Belgians were funky enough he would play it there as well ... To me that says that Prince was well aware of the number of Dutch people in the audience (not only in the clubmember area), and actually remembered what he had said in Holland a couple of days earlier;) (so not the Diana Ross effect, who's infamous for having the best night of her live every night she performs and holds an incredibly special place in her heart for every town and village she performs in) Of course i still don't believe a word of prince having a special place in his heart for holland, and practising any song (let alone purple rain!!) for it... Anyways, i thought it was kinda smart of him to remember the statement as it is such a fluffy and easy one to make for Prince the performer. heheh ... i'm really tired and should get some sleep ... hope any of this makes sense "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"

Are the reviews published today or on Monday?
I had shit seats but i danced my arse off, annoying the people sitting behind me. I thought the show was totally amazing, it pisses all over his last Greatest Hits concert in Belgium, 4 years ago. BTW Eric Leads is a God. ...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...

I thought you Belgians did fantastic! The cheering, whistling and clapping just before the encore was even louder in the Sportpaleis than in Ahoy! And Prince said it!

I thought you Belgians did fantastic! The cheering, whistling and clapping just before the encore was even louder in the Sportpaleis than in Ahoy! And Prince said it! Prince said it indeed! Don't remember the exact words, how he said it. It was meant as a joke during the concert, the 'so-called rivalry' between Holland and Belgium. At the beginning he said something like: "The Dutch were great but i know you Belgians can do better", teasing the crowd. Near the end he was more serious and said something like "it doesn't matter if you're from Holland, Belgium, Antwerp... Zimbabwe(he was joking), we all are one 2night". Oh let's forget it, Holland and Belgium ARE his favorites, it's a simple truth Last tour he closed in Ghent, this year in Rotterdam, do we need to say more?
