This was just the greatest moment in my life.. Prince was everything you want him to be.. Funky, Funny, Cool, .. Great audience 2. I felt kinda young. I sat there with my 20 years of age between midlife people, but hey, they was funky 2 .
I loved "the beautiful ones".. unbelievable ..

I think it just depends from where you were in the arena .
For me, the sound was as clear as crystal , I understood every word he said , never had a bad sound, when he played heavy guitar , the sound stayed clear , so I thought Sportpaleis has invested in the accoustic , but now I read that the sound was bad in some parts of the arena ? I think that it just has to do with the place where you were in the arena . must be then ... i was right in front of his microphone, about 4 meters back ... with the venue still empty all sounds got rolled into a soup of noise, it was better when the place filled up, but still not 100% [This message was edited Sat Oct 19 6:36:20 PDT 2002 by m3taverse] "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"

I confirm that he actually sang Sly's "In time" (musically not recognisable though) during one incredible soundcheck !!
His look was way too funky (reminded me of America, with bandana, hat and from that area tight pants with cashmere patterns and matching boots!) and he appeared to be in a very BAD mood when he finally arrived by just saying "good evening". Then I had the feeling that he loosened up through the mean rock-oriented music he played. The santana medley featured some incredible guitar work. It was funny when he asked if we were looking forward to the show and we said: yeah, what about you? to which he answered "Nope!". But then he said that he was also looking forward and acknowledged that it was the biggest venue so far on the tour. At that point I knew we could expect, Pop life, Money don't matter and Purple Rain, instead of Muse, Mellow and Family Name. But, it was an incredible show.. Prince's energy and almost constant grin on his face was priceless. peace

A/ Antwerpen soundcheck was more like a pre-concert in it self - incredible! Best thing I have seen since Montreal Jazz festival - blew away any ONA show in 2002 (more or less).
B/ Sound at show blew away Rotterdam C/ Nov 2??? Praveer B SIGNAL

m3taverse, i just wanted 2 point out that the sound was actually better then in Ahoy. Not specifically 10 or 11 times of whatever ... just better. I'm not saying it was like listening to a stereo, but it was good enough for me. (also considering the fact that it took place in the Sportpaleis, a venue not famous for it's good accoustics!)
I just read different responses from dutch fans saying that the belgian show was indeed a lot (not x times better!) better then the Rotterdam show. Let's just hope that the second run in Ahoy will be as good as the one in Antwerp ... or even better!!! Anyway ... I had a great time, as did many others!!

The moves were awesome! And respect to the members who got it so quickly! It was hilarious Somebody elaborate on this, PLEASE... Well, Prince invited 4(if I remember correctly) members on stage, they were all dancing very well! Prince lined them up- so it was 5 in a row, Prince in the middle. And then he started to do this EXTREMELY funky dance! Moving his left shoulder twice forward, on the beat, then his right one, and so on (correct me if it was a bit different please!) And this very fast. It was kind of an 'N sync dance move- but real funky... Does anyone remember to what song he did this stuff??
