ahh my home country smile

I cant wait to hear this show smile

He hasn't played there for so long...

I just hope and pray to Jehovah that "Elephants & Flowers" is better than that absolutely PATHETIC attempt from the Celebration... hollow empty soulless garbage

but anyway

Bring on my new boots!

At the aftershow he also played a long version of "Question of U" (He played his guitar so hard it actually got fried and he had to stop..)

He also did "Dolphin" very different but cool version.

and.. Sly and Family tune (?).. Hear? Heir, hair? What's the name?

All the Critics Love You In Denmark was so nice! biggrin

He played drums, bass and guitar at the aftershow.

I think he liked the: "Copenhagen - we'll be shakin'" chant!

smile

It's interesting that he started the show differently again. Did he play acoutic guitar in the beginning?

HEy Amor/Martin, wasnt is COPENHAGEN WE'VE BEEN SHAKING and now WE'll be shaking? coz it was almost at the end of the aftershow which means it would come to an end ..but it was so loudly that we probably wouldn't hear whether it was We will or we have..

Yes - the start of the aftershow was VERY guitar dominated. ROCK AND ROLL! smile He kept asking for turning up the volume on the guitar during first song. "I want to fell it" he said. (and it WAS loud smile )

And yes, the "real" concert was started with acoustic guitar: (only him on scene in a spotlight)

Elephants and Flowers
Don't play me
The Truth
7
Alfabet St.
(as far as I remember...)

Sandra: you are probably right smile I don't have the best memory.. I was just shakin' razz

I also think that the fact that we all kept on chanting was what bought him back. They had already packed a part of the drums ++ away.

I have some corrections 2 the playlist of the show.

The show started with just Prince on acoustic guitar, the band came in on Alphebet St.

Elephants and flowers (1. verse)
7
Don´t Play Me
The Truth
A Case Of U
Alphabet St.
Rainbow Children
Poplife
Xenophobia
Money Don’t Matter 2night
The Work
Purple Rain
1+1+1=3 (I don't remember him playing this, could be right though)
Housequake
Love Rollercoaster
Pass The Peas (Maybe wrong order - Greg doing the intro)
Strollin’
Gotta Broken Heart Again
The Ride (Prince playing on "The Blue Angel")
Strange Relationship
When You Were Mine
Sign “O” The Times
Take Me With U
Raspberry Beret
The Everlasting Now

Adore
Delirious
Condition Of The Heart
Diamonds & Pearls
The Beautiful Ones
Nothing Compares 2 U
The Ladder
Starfish And Coffee
Days Of Wild Incl. America (I didn't hear "America", when in the song was that)

The man was in terrific form and was smiling most of the time. He said in the end of the show that he didn't care what the papers said he had had a great time in Denmark, and so did we (a reply 2 the bad reviews he got in the papers).

It was great to finally see Candy (first time for me) she was terrific. During Alphabet St. the hornplayers each got to play a solo. Greg and Eric was on stage, Candy was standing on the floor with the audience - it was awsome.

It was surely the best concert I've ever been 2 (4th time). I was so tired and exhausted after the regular show from clapping, singing, stomping and just the fact that I was in the same room with Prince, that i nearby fainted during "The Ladder". My hands are still shaking and I'm feeling dizzy.

It was the experience of a lifetime. Now I know what it felt like to be a teenagegirl in the good old Beatles-days.

The impact the regular show did on me, made me go home after the show instead of going to the afterparty. My body and mind just couldn't handle any more input from the man.
I'll have another glass of you.
this time on the rocks.

Virgo

He also played
How Come U Don't Call Me anymore
&
Girls and Boys
during the encores.

It was a wonderful, wonderful show, it surpasses all his Europeans tours in the 90's. The band was awesome and it was great to see and hear Eric Leeds again - as well as Candy. And of course the man himself.

Dude

Now wait for BT (Danish newspaper) to give him 2 out of 6 stars... They did that in Aalborg, maybe they should have been to a greatest hits tour instead. Congratulations to all of you who went to the aftershow. I guess Copenhagen were the wrong date to skip : ) Well Im more than satisfied with what I've seen. (Ålborg & Hamburg) Let us hope that he will be back in Europe soon!!

Rebs

I´m sorry for you, Pandemonium, that you missed the aftershow because it was the perfect ending! I got so close to the stage that I actually could look Prince in the eyes and this somehow made the concert more intimate and different from the real concert. It also gave another feeling of being at a concert because the place was so crowded - and it had a totally different and crazy atmosphere.

I´ve never seen Prince live before, so this concert really made a great impression on me and I´m still high from it!
He seemed as if he enjoued himself and as if he really enjoyed playing live and wanted to continue the whole night. I also think that the crowd inspired him to continue and that he thought we were really crazy and funny too.

I´m still chanting the "Copenhagen, we´ve been shakin´"...

Thx 4 the concern Rebs. I'm still 3 feet from my usual self, but my hands are nearly non-shaking at this point (23 hours after the show).
