A friend of mine wrote me following:

"The show was pure magic. It was great to see Prince again after all those years.
What was even better that he looked really happy; I think that reflected on the audience. There definitely was one love in the house that night.
The soundcheck was kinda short, and I thought it was a shame that Mr. Eric Leeds didn't show for the actual concert. It was great to see him again though, albeit for a few minutes.
And even though I am bald, I didn't just join the NPG Music Club to get the tickets

All in all, it was fantastic. After years of loyal support, it feels that Prince is a personal friend who helps you through dark and happy times alike. If you ever get to read this, Prince, thank you. You mean a lot to me.

The only thing that stings a little is that he tells you that you're not his friend if your views on religion are different than his.
That kind of hurt.
If God is Love and Love is God, he wouldn't discriminate. Why should Prince?
That said, my life got brighter last night. If you're still to see the show, best hold on to your wigs. You're about to get funked up.

And YES he describes what was going through to me last night. I still am not able to get my thoughts straight and am in a state of high-energy en cloudy on what i experienced last night in Ahoy.

The only thing Prince stated about not bein' his friend was the following statement:

' If u want 2 sing with me it's ok... if U don't that's ok too... but U'r no friend of mine...'

Don't know if that R the exact words but the statement was about singin along, nothing more, nothing less. I did not hear the discriminating comment U 'r talking about...

When did he say that?

I guess we all "got to go through it to get to it"
