Friday night soundcheck

Just spoke to someone in the auditorium before tonights concert starts (went last night myself, but couldn't afford tonight too!) Apparently the soundcheck was really something...

From the brief conversation, it was approx 40 minutes long and Prince had a number of members of the audience onto the stage to sing with the band. Prince Karaoke!!! Didn't get a chance to take down too many of the songs, but Shake! was mentioned...

Sounds too good to believe, better than last night song but ce la vie!

No aftershow announced yet, but rumour is either the Click like last night or The Embassey. My guess is no performance tonight. Click would be too small and has no stage, not sure about the Embassey but think the same.

Nothing was announced during the soundcheck although apparently Prince commented on the problems with the venue. He asked if everyone that finally made it eventually had a good time. The 'general public' are now in the hall and the concerts just about to start I guess (why am I in front of my computer?) so it seems that at the best they might announce something at the end.

I'm glad Shake was mentioned, as I was the one who sang it!
When I got on stage Prince asked me to choose the song from his lyrics book. I chose "Anna Stesia " and he said "no no, I'm gonna play this tonight!". So he told him "Let's try Money don't matter tonight" and he replied "What about Shake?". I replied "ok, as long as you give me the lyrics!"

It was a big emotion, a dream came true. While I was singing I looked at Prince and it looked like he was having a ball!! I got big support from the NPGMC members, thank you all!
A big thumb up for the other singers at the soundcheck, "How come you dont call me" was breathtaking!!!
And what about the girl who sang "The work" at the Marquee? FAB!!!
cheers
Alex
