About Sign of The Times Dear Prince,
Ok my 'two penneth' in a BRIT way. Not a critique..but I like what I like. Hee hee : I like the raw bits, and you singing in Sign O' the Times DVD ..I can't QUITE get into it because the image (ya mouth moving) don't match the voice. Let me say though - thanks for releasing it. It's a Prince DVD better than nothing and free too. I hope I can give you the energy back that you've given me freely through it  .
Lovesexy LIVE or Sign 'O The times TOTALLY LIVE would have been better tho. I can dream can't I? Keep dancing 'the dance' called ELECTRIC!: weeeee! Michael. p.s thanks for seeding the world with lovely energy!

to be fair to prince sign o the times is a movie rather than a concert and that I beleive its purpose was concert/movie.. hense the lip synch | |

I think the 'inter-between-music-bits' tho really only 'pseudo make it one' (a concert movie). An excuse to make it 'DUBBED'? Perhaps. I mean in 'U Got the Look'...what do we 'get' from Prince telling Sheena Easton that 'she's got the look' a minute or so after telling Cat she's a 'Hot thing' and ..yet Cat 'pulls him away' from her and shows her her muscles on the podium which he sort of agrees too. Erm ..ok (I'm lost on any movie plot). Who's 'Forever in your life' in the movie? No one we see!. Anyway..what I'm getting at is Sign of The Times is a great album..but to create non-real vocals sort of sells an amazing tour short, its is a bit vague and underestimates the audience a bit. I love Lovesexy videos (and saw said tour twice live in UK 88) and I defy anyone to watch them and not prefer them to Sign Of The Times Dvd..and please please please Prince..can we get a DVD of EVERY night of the O2 tour? It will sell like hot cakes...all 21 of 'em! . Newspaper deal? Do it! Or just put em on sale at £10 each...still sell more than ya last official album release!

Love ya! I love both Lovesexy and SOTT but if I had to choose ( and fortunately I don't!!!), SOTT would win out.....the "staged" elements ( including those of the the songs) and the camera work make it a bit smoother.....but I understand that some might prefer the true "raw" experience of Lovesexy.
