DUBLIN TICKET MIX-UP.

as great as the concert at the point was, the first four songs were ruined for the npg members sitting to the left of the the stage by the venue staff removing, by force, some club members who were seemingly sitting in seats that had not been allocated to us despite the fact that when the soundcheck started, we were told that the first four rows were reserved for club members...
now i dont know if it was the concert staff that were at fault or prince's own staff made a cock-up of this but this is happening at too many gigs and spoiled the start of the concert for people sitting around this...i felt so sorry for the people who had been in the seats for two hours only to be told they had to give them up... did anyone else see this trouble and what happened to the people who were thrown out of there seats?

I never noticed this myself...i was front row, i do remember that an usher walked past us on the front row during the third song and told everyone to sit down, but Prince himself said pay no attnetion to ushers and if you wanna stand up and dance it's cool.

There was some confusion prior to the concert start...but i thought all that was sorted?, i belive it was only the first 3 rows for members...reserved, i think what happened was some members sat in the 4th row..which was general admissiom, then they had to move and find a seat in any of the first 3 rows.

Pretty sure they did get seated, but i was focusing on the gig itself and i can only speak on what was happening directly around me, one dumb as twat did bum rush the front row toward the end of the concert, and she was pissed out of her mind, drunk as a skunk wench!.

She was removed by force.

Yes, I was once of the people who originally sat in centre row five and was then moved. I ended up on row four but near to the aisle. Some of the others were further along the row and when the public show started, they were told that those seat tickets were sold to the public. The lady concerned was really upset. I told her we should all complain for her. There was a lot of discussion but, at the end of the day, we should have all been informed of the seat allocation at the outset.

Real shame that such things can upset an otherwise perfect night.

i was also sitting in the centre isles in row five at the start of the soundcheck but we were told that the first four rows were reserved for npgmc members only so we moved to the left of the stage but later as the concert started, the poor members behind us got thrown out of their seats.

I was in row four on the left and saw a (possibly) German guy and his girlfriend get moved to the back a good 45 mins into the concert. I had chatted with him before the show and caught up with him again at the aftershow. He had been moved as someone turned up apparently with tickets for where he was sitting, but he was in a designated member area and should not have been moved. Fortunatley the aftershow I think made up for the confussion and he seemed very happy at the end of the night.
