Tired? I danced my ass off, man. I can barely type... Here's a shot at it - but I know I missed a few and it's not in exact order, so please pitch in and help me complete the set...anyway, I was having far too good a time to be keeping notes! He did tear up the house, and the joy and emotion of hearing so many classics live...I can't say what a thrill it was. What p*ssed me off though - the crowd. Local radio here had vox pops with people obviously exiting the gig this morning - whiners, bitching about not enough old stuff, waste of money - I felt like ringing in and saying that he's a musician, not a fecking karaoke jukebox. But what's the point (no pun intended)? In any event, the radio were saying before the tix went on sale that he'd be playing a greatest hits set. Some well informed production staffers, heh? I don't give a shit for the complainers - a few years ago, those same moany b*stards would have been grateful for him to come and play here, and not cared what he played - the Gold tour (prior to the release of that album) was similar - new tunes, unfamiliar jams, etc. And the crowds loved it. Open minds, open hearts, open ears... How times, and the attitudes in this country, change, hm? What dont matter 2nite? (Don't get me started...oh, I see I have already ;-D) We had our dance party - and what a party! Sorry to the O'Reillys posse for not making it down - some commitments you have to keep, no matter what. And to Prince, bring the noise again, please - SOON! Peace and out, Tha Preacher

Manchester on Tuesday was brilliant. Dublin was out of this world. The soundcheck, the show and then the aftershow. Flew back home this morning after three hours sleep. Absolutely dead on my feet but what fantastic shows.
Thanks to all the NPG Music Club members for making the evening. After the soundchck everyone just sat chatting. If you haven't joined, you really missed out this time. Thanks to all the Dublin people for being so kind. What a treat the rest of the people have with the remaining shows. Prince you have boosted my energy level now for future months. Please come back to us soon.

Can't believe there were complaints. I saw 2 shows in London with friends who had never seen him live and only new the old stuff and they LOVED the show!
My friend said during the show, "I don't know what the hell this is but it's damn funky!" Did lots of people seriously leave during the show? I reckon your local radio just picked on the handful that did. ----------
AND I GOTTA ALOTTA BUTTA 2 GO!

Yeah - a good few apparently before the first encore! There were people saying it was brilliant, but they were somewhat outweighed by the number of negative comments. hughesy - would love to have made the afterparty, but again, commitments - how about a setlist for that?

Essence - this was a completely different set up to Manchester. It was all so different. Prince just seemed so happy to be in Dublin.
Don;t get me wrong, Manchester on the 8th was brilliant but Dublin just had the edge - my ears are still ringing - and the aftershow just finished off the day. Hope Prince comes back to us again soon.
