Last night I went to see Maceo in Amsterdam... man the funk's still there.
I think they played for just 3 hours (which is long enough for a Maceo concert). Candy joined them on stage (of course)... they were funky, yes! Skeet was on fire... laid back leaning against the speakers, pulling them strings like a mad man.... this man is as funky as he is big... _______________________________________________________________________________________

I went to see Maceo in Paradiso too and I had a good time. However, Maceo did more singing then playing the saxophone. I have been to several Maceo Parker concerts and this was definitely not his best performance. I’m not the biggest Candy Dulfer fan but I was surprised by her performance during this concert, she looked good and played good. [Edited 11/2/07 3:30am] | |

[Edited 11/2/07 3:30am] I'd have to agree with you here... I've never seen Maceo perform outside a prince show/aftershow and expected a bit more on the sax from him. Pity he has to call Candy when he wants sax 
I actually heard a guy behind me saying "This is the first time I prefer Candy's sax-playing to Maceo's!" But still! Having been cold turkey for over a month now (21 sep aftershow surely got a lot of us higher) I enjoyed the funk!  | |
