SOTT Dvd! I know it's crazy (after loving Prince for so many years) but I watched the SOTT DVD for the first time last night and I loved it!!!!!
I thought the whole concert was absolutely electric and that, despite the catsuit thing with holes in the side, Prince was as sexy as hell!!! You know that it's an amazing concert when you're sitting in your mate's front room watching it, and both of us were jealous that we weren't in the audience!! I It didn't matter that we were only 9 years old when it was filmed, we were both wishing that we could be there... there aren't many musicians who can make you feel like that with a 20 year old concert!!! My fave bits:
If I Was Your Girlfriend...he's wearing the white fluffy coat and there is a wind machine blowing on him and he's oh-so-sexy! The end of Sign O' The Times when the band all walk out playing the drums in time with each other, brilliant! During Hot Thing when he dives through Cat's legs and rips off her tutu! Think I may have to go and watch it again...  Sounds like a real man to me...mind if I turn on the radio? | |

Think I may have to go and watch it again... Yes I loved Hot Thing as well, especially the "turn-and-snap" dancing - that still looks good even now. The horns are so hypnotic in that track. But I really enjoyed the full (and long) version of 4 Ever In My Life. The part near the end where he's got the whole crowd singing along and then he does his improvised singing while he "staggers" towards the ground like the song has him in control and the part where his making out that his throat is hurting with all the screaming he's doing.
