we are just typical dutch If you read all the analyses of the dutch people, jsut remember that we are a strange country. We live in one of the best countrys and we complain as if we live in a 3rd world country orso. That's just us, we can't help it, we do it with everything.
I was there last night an d although it was my 15th prince concert, i never saw him better. But if i am gonna compare it to all the reports and all my experiences in life i bet i can break it all down. Ofcourse he could have played some other songs and ofcourse i would love to hear some longer version of adore and HCUDCMA, but he gave me a night i will never forget. It was the first time i didn't give a f**k if there was an aftershow or not, he already gave me more then i ever had. If you are one of those dutchies who try enjoy life and thank whoever you like for the almost perfect life u have, then i don't mean you. But to all the others: if you want you can be dissapointed about everything...just ask yourself if you want that? Before i get all to moralistic, i just wanted to set this in perspective for the rest of the world. If Prince is coming to your town. Dive deep into it, go with the flow and you will have your fanatstic experience, i'll promise! I'll gues that this will get some 'nice'reactions from the analyzers, but hey rading the thing above. The rest of the wordl will understand it.

Some good points here!
I just thought the same kind of thing this morning...It was a hell of a ride last evening! I will remember it, the best experience he ever gave me! I got a ticket for the last show of the euro ONA tour!

Yesterday morning I was real excited about the show. I've probably not been this excited since my first Prince show in 1986. But my expectations weren't fulfilled. It wasn't bad, just not as good as the others. I liked the soundcheck. The songs performed there gave me more excitement than the show.

I liked the Rainbow Children tracks live, title track, 1+1+1=3/Housequake, Everlasting Now.
The first half was very dynamic and promising- but then the greatesthits-show started (which nonetheless featured lots of outstanding moments IMO!)

I know all about expectations not being fulfilled. I've taken time off from work, traveled to different cities, paid a lot of money on tickets and hotel, ended up in row 15 even though I paid $100 for the NPGMC, had Prince cancel the soundcheck and not give an aftershow even though he didn't have a show the next night. Prince has a way of turning fans into ex-fans and haters. Prince

Ohhh, come on Jeepee, You've got to be kidding!!! That doesn't do justice to the man...Althoug I was blown away by his 'both hands in is pockets' bassplaying routine... SOTT alone went wayyy further on the exitment scale, did it not?? __________________________________________________

SOTT alone went wayyy further on the exitment scale, did it not?? SOTT was great. Other songs as well. There was another song, can't remember which one near the end, where Maceo joined in on his saxophone with the same note Prince was singing and when he finished Prince fell in singing the same note he was playing. Marvelous. And as I stated before, the show wasn't bad. Maybe I expected too much from reading the setlists from the other gigs. The soundcheck I didn't know what to expect, what songs/jams he would do. Maybe that is the big problem. If I hadn't read all the other shows reviews I would've enjoyed it more than I did now. I've enjoyed myself yesterday, don't get me wrong, but not as much as I thought I would. And the long waiting time contributed to that as well perhaps.

That was the most amazing thing he did last night... His voice was amazing last night...It's been a long time since I've heard him moan, scream and just SING like that instead of his weird way of "rapping"... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O
