you may be wrong on that I would venture to say u just may be wrong on that. The best is yet to come with Prince....He proved WB wrong when it was said he had no more "hits" in him...he went to the studio that night and wrote TMBGITW. Lemme

I was there on the 9th it was a great show!!he played a good mixture of hits ,covers and album tracks!!
I think if people had tickets for the aftershow they would have enjoyed it a whole lot better!!enjoying it with knowing that you where going to be partying with Prince unto about 3-30am..Its amazing how many fans i spoke to didnt know about the aftershows, didnt mean to piss them off but they looked hacked off that it was in the same venue just a stone throw. But the aftershow kicked ass that night !!longer than the main show. To all the people at the 9/9 aftershow the longest of the 21 nights we had the best time ever!!!

PLEASE DO NOT TALK on my behalf. I am in complete disagreement. If you look at stuff he did 25 years ago it was more raw and unrefined. He is the same age as me and we 'hit the roof' together, partying went on for 48 hours in a frenzied sorta way. Now, he is more refined in his playing, more professional, miles more ability, and way more versatile in his styles. We can still all party and I did so on the last night, on my feet for 8 hours and dancing like a mad person for 5. But I love it that he has evolved in the way that suits me and probably thousands of other huge fans. I cant wait to hear anything new now because I know its going to be fab.

Nobody I sat next to at the shows I attended seemed to know about aftershows, which really surprised me. It's not like they were kept secret and were advertised on ticketmaster in the same listing as the main shows. Maybe the people just didn't know what to expect from them?RIP

I think the problem is that Prince will never be able to please everyone without great difficulty at a Tour gig. I went to the 20/9 show and really enjoyed it. He churned out alot of his hits compared to the 'Rainbow Children' gig he did at the Apollo a few years ago. I remember even back then people complained about the lack of familiar songs being played.
Personally, I would have prefered less chart hits and more of the other songs we dont get to hear much, but then everyone is different. I have to admit, I've been a fan since 1987 and have attended every gig he did except for the Lovesexy tour, as I was away and unable to attend. I will always regret it, the Dortmund video is just mind-blowing. I don't think Prince will ever top that. The set was so lavish that I believe he never made a penny from the Lovesexy Tour - Definately my favourate album is Lovesexy, everything about it, you know....the feeling you get when....

Doors opened at 18:00, he got on stage at 20:15..... Kicking off with Lets Go Crazy. Great, I thought it's gonna be a fantastic show. Sadly I was wrong. He then started singing The Beatles - Come Together / Play That Funky Music White Boy, then moaned his way through 45mins of love songs. I was struggling at this stage. 2nd half was much better with Kiss / I Wanna Be Your Lover / Little Red Corvette / Purple Rain... Then for the encore he sat at his piano twiddling away then ended with a couple of hits. I went to see a legend perform his hits, not karaoke covers. Prince has over 1000 songs to choose from. Great entertainer but needs to concentrate on what the fans want. I've seen him a few times before & he was so much better back then. To sum it up in one sentence - All too little too late. ps - drop then stupid scraggy dancers. Peace. I knew sooner or later someone would come up with these type of comments. Of course, its your opinion but where the problem is, you have come in at the end of 21 nights, many of which were rocking with every hit under the sun INCLUDING SEVEN. At the start, Prince said he expected many fans to go to more than one concert (one reason I guess for £31.21 price). This meant 21 nights were never going to be the same and you cant expect him to play the same old BIG hits 21 times - man, that would do everyone's brain in. He always played the core hits (you mentioned these) and the remaining time was different at every concert. Sometimes he crammed in more great album tracks which was fantastic. They were either jumping or more mellow. Sometimes he added a few unexpected great covers - also a pleasure to see him play. The fact that it was different every time was fantastic/inevitable. I think its a shame you didn't appreciate his unbelievable guitar playing ability and diversity, such talent all round. It appears all you wanted was him to roll out the same old songs you have heard year after year. Towards the latter dates, some of the new tracks off Planet Earth were added - a fantastic new CD - did these bore you too? I can't imagine another Prince "experience" topping it, frankly. I went to Vegas twice Feb & Mar and was at the 3121 Jazz cafe aftershow the weekend after the superbowl and thought nothing would top that but on 21 Sept at about 4.30am I met P face to face - inches from me and that was the best ever !!!

Did you wait at the wire fence to the left of exit after the after show? Was that where you met him? I wanted to but my friend was on his knees so we left. Now I am to regret this for the rest of my life! No matter what Prince experience you have, there is always another one that can be better! Its ridiculous. TWICE now I have been up on stage with him dancing, attended 10 main shows just THIS year, the last night show and Aftershow (wow), eye contact, smiles, etc. You would think I'd be content. Am I? LOL NO WAY !!!!! I WANT MORE 'Its gonna be a beautiful night'

And actually, your whole review sounded like you were pretty much bored except when he played a hit you knew. Do you honestly think he was going to perform ALL his hits for every 21 nights. Get some logic man.
