Final Show 21st - what a show!

Just got back from the main show. It was my seventh and boy did we go out on a high. Setlist as far as I can remember:

I Feel 4 U
Controversy
Musicology
Chelsea Rogers
Le Freak/Sexy Dancer
Somewhere Here on Earth
Cream
U Got The Look

piano:
I Would die 4 U
I Wanna Be Your Lover
Little Red Corvette
The Beautiful Ones
Under The Cherry Moon (instrumental)
Sometimes It Snows In April

Purple Rain
Take Me With U
Guitar
Kiss
Let's Go Crazy
Nothing Compares 2 U

1999

Sampler:
When Doves Cry
Sign O The Times
Alphabet St
Irresistible Bitch (!)
Delirious
Rasberry Beret

When U Were Mine
Girls & Boys

Feel free to amend, but you get the flavor.

As soon as the lights went out the place was a sea of purple due to the glowsticks given out to everyone (made me smile ear to ear for a few reasons). And they just kept glowing througout the entire show (mine's still glowing now at home) - everyone on their feet having a big old party for 2 hours - The atmosphere was just wonderful. Some idiots did start throwing glowsticks whilst waiting for encores (although it was the closest thing to Purple Rain I've ever seen) and quite a few people got hit.

That aside it was just a wicked night and he topped it all off with When U Were Mine which I requested over on the 'If you could request one song...'thread. A prefect end to a wonderful couple of months. I couldn't be happier

Thank you Prince & The Band - U blew me and the rest of London away.

he also did the most beautiful girl in the world in the synth set which was a surprise - plus his usual darling nikki tease - although for so long i was sure he'd actually sing it this time

also erotic city tease

other than that spot on - well sounds spot on but i don't claim to be sure wink

my glowstick's still going in the little pile of purple and gold heart confetti I brought home with me - really sorry not to be at the aftershow but I had such a serendipitous night I kinda think I could die happy now - met a fab orger - Shellybean - discovered we're both lancastrians that have been going to the same gigs for years, managed to get seats in 102 ( they did release more at the very last minute at the ticket office) - which rocked - I'm convinced we were the loudest block. Thank you to the kind two people who also passed on two separate tickets which I was able to pass on again...hope the other orger who was waiting with us got a ticket - we did look for you...
Just the memory of Prince dancing to Maceo will keep me going for a long long time...he's still playing in my head...
4 your every touch I
Thank U so much...
I wish U love
I wish U heaven

It was a great night, but quite frankly, it was ruined right at the end when the idiots decided to throw their glowsticks. Even after a 120 minute trip home, I am still angry about what they did.

What an amazing night. Front row seats just in front of Prince's keyboard and a unbelievable end to the most amazing run of concerts ever by an music artist. No one else would have the commitment, energy and songs to do what Prince has done in London. After two o2's and five aftershows (3/5 appearances and a meeting at the gate when queueing) I can only say I wish I had gone more often.

Prince I salute you.

The whole night was fantastic and thanks to Purpleredhead marvellous fellow Lancastrian we managed to get some last minute fanatabulous tickets from the box office thought we were imagining it. Loved it, loved it, loved it!! Can still picture the sea of purple glow sticks, even before he came on stage, what a fantastic night, I was lucky enough to get to the front again (thanks to some understanding stewards), and when he did the encoure, he came right to our section, WOW, so close and so sexy!!!! I ache all over from dancing like a loon, but wow, what an experience!! If only it could go on. Thanks you Prince and the Band, you have helped an old fan remember what it was like to be young and really happy!!!!!

Oh, there was at least one. Unfortunately for him, he was sat behind me lol

He should have stayed at home and let someone who knows how to enjoy a Prince concert go!

Nah, there was one more sit-down mo fo behind my other half. He then went on to tell my boyfriend to sit down as he was too tall! I was incensed! But unluckily for that dude, my boyfriend got up & partied like there was no tommorrow.
Sitting down during a Prince concert. Nope, that last sentence doesn't make sense to me!

Yes it was an amazing show!! At times exhausted from dancing!! The people around us were so happy big smiles and lots of dancing. It was great fun and the atmosphere was great.
Prince and his band all looked so happy and relaxed too. At times it seemed that Prince would spin out of control in his excitement.
Great night and fond memories thanks to Prince and the NPG!!!
