PlanetEarth is not Prince. Come on, 'fess up and admit it. You've got poor people on here thinking they're emailing Prince, and who knows what they're telling you they wouldn't normally!

Also, there's more playing up to the notion as it becomes posted on. Trying to be more enigmatic after people start wondering if it is Prince. I'll wait to be proven wrong!

There is no absolute proof either way as to whether PE was Prince or not.
How do we know if he had a few spare moments to post or not? We don't so to say he was too busy to post is meaningless unless you knew his movements every second of the day. The early posts weren't like Prince? How exactly does Prince post then? His Posts weren't American enough? Well, Prince was here for two months. If I was him and thought to post on a British forum I think I'd manage to throw in a few British comments and phrases.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Prince viewed forums etc, computer technology became integral to making music in the 80's when prince was breaking through and experimenting, there's even a scene in Graffiti Bridge where Prince is using an Atari ST !!! I wrote a demo for a computer game on the Atari ST based around Prince and his music, a sideways scrolling adventure like 'Ghosts & Goblins' but you shot symbols out from a guitar !!! I sent it to Paisley park and got a call from Alan Leeds, and they were interested in what i'd done, I worked for Ocean software at the time and the licensing was gonna be complicated !!! but Alan said Prince liked it, I later went to Minneapolis and got a tour of paisley park from Alan and he quizzed me on computer technology, this was in 1991.

I remember standing in Prince's recording studio and tinkering on the piano, with a rack of 5 guitars next to it and hearing drums from the studio next door, Alan said he was recording, which was pretty cool.

Prince more than any other 'major' artist has used the internet for promoting/selling his 'product' as he see's it, he did the interactive CD-Rom disk in the early 90's, before CD-Rom's were standard on PC's, that was fairly unique at the time, I think Peter Gabriel went on to do something similar, but it shows Prince's interest in computer technology and utilising it for himself.

Saying that, I don't think Planetearth is Prince, if Prince was here we would not know it, he'd either just read the threads out of interest, or post the occassional comment in response, but he wouldn't want to post cryptic messages that make people think it maybe him, he'd want to be incognito I bet.

The stories go that he often watches live performances during his tour to improve the show/performance, so what better way to find out what people are thinking/expecting/disappointed by during a tour than read a few fan forums?
