I think there has been alot of made up stuff written about Prince.
Dont believe the hype, 'dont sleep' as Full Force once said. Most journalists make stuff up when theres a lack of imformation, Prince knows this he even included this as a story line on Gold album. My view of Prince? from the shows i went to and the aftershow, that man loves his fans and enjoys being amongst them, he happily walked thru the crowd for his encore holding his hand up for everyone to touch him (my husband included!!) He made loads of eyecontact with fans and pointing to people in costumes, hats, wigs etc, turning the lights UP all the time. The only reason for that is to SEE the crowd. Yeah, man. Anybody who coulda come out of the O2 any night with hate in their heart really shouldn'ta gone in.
But it doesn't matter. All the talk of how many casual fans were there was right but they sho ain't casual now. So many friends and acquaintances have called me, emailed me, pulled me aside in the pub with the same question after they'd been to the O2. Usually something like: 'Hey..you're big on Prince. What album should I get to start to catch up?' syble said: I think there has been alot of made up stuff written about Prince.

There were low points when I almost gave up being a fam because of what I considered to be his comtempt for us (the "Chaos & Disorder" album and the handling of his son's death) but on reflection I felt these had more to do with his perceptions of his record company & the media. . what the hell has how he handles a personal tragedy got to do with us the fams? I think he likes his fams when performing as he loves the interaction but other than that, he doesn't know us but we know all about him and his life, must be weird for him it would freak me out. After all hes musically talented and likes to share that, don't think hes ever said he wanted to be everyones friend. I was annoyed at the NPG website closing when we'd paid for it,but all is forgiven now after an amazing summer!!  | |

As I don't think we should rake this one up again, lets just leave it at that, and let me say I'm sure all us orgers love Prince, and as long he makes us happy, who cares?
