I miss Prince! Back at work today and it has really dawned on me that the 21 nights is over.
I'm not looking at Prince web sites and Ticketmaster whilst at work. I'm not studying seating plans and cross-referencing them with photos. I'm not deliberating about what merchandise to buy. I'm not talking myself into "just one additional show". And there were no photos of Prince leaving a nightclub in London's free papers tonight. I miss Prince! Somewhere Here On Earth

Me too, big time. I heard Crazy playing over a store's PA system of all places today and I actually welled up. Thinking back on how much justice Shelby and the whole NPG did this song and how Prince seemed to enjoy himself so much, dancing to it and singing background vocals and going round the O, firing everyone on to clap and sing... How much at home he was at the O2! What a party. I miss him. "John Bream, why you being fire-hydrant-head-looking..., you big seven eyed, Grover-from-Sesame-Street-looking… why you being dot dot dot?"

I'm really grumpy today, not only am I missing Prince but also missing my voice which went missing just after the show on 21st. When people ask me whats wrong I can't even chatter on about how amazing it was. I know you hear me, like a whisper in your ear......

ditto all your comments but think we should all be happy we've seen and enjoyed him - most people I know haven't even done that "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -
"London do you feel for me what I feel for you"- yes Prince - "Can I play my guitar now?" - yes please

Yeah, I think he's puts some kind of spell on his audiences, for a long time after he left I was kind of walking around like a zombie, just remembering his show and wanting to see him again. The withdrawal pain are horrible! [Edited 9/24/07 19:10pm]

London seek help now! Trust me ya'll will go thru serious withdrawl issues.
Symptoms can be the following: 1. Signing into the org each and everyday to see if he decides to do another surprise show. 2. Checking you bank account to see if you could afford the next show 3. Pullling out all your old cd's, albums bootlegs etc.to try to re-live the shows you attended and what did during that particular song. 4. Trying to talk to non prince fans about your experience and then totally not getting what your saying to them! anyone else care to chime in with other common symptoms? SEEK HELP NOW LONDON!

I think that we can add another disease to the list: post traumatic Prince concert syndrom. The symptoms are mentioned by more or less all orgers in posts at the moment. Oh so sad...and fall is allover us as well!
Good thing about this - it's caused by (4 me) the best experience in a very long time! & - it will pass, if not b4 - then when he's back... All hail 2 the Prince - Mr. Goodnight Feels so good it must b a crime...

Im gutted it's all over.
I wish I had made more of the 21 nights, but still so happy I made it to two shows. It may sound a little overblown, but I think the experiences have changed me.

Feeling Misty Blue today too! . Not even a week yet and withdrawal symptoms have severely kicked in now.. What an amazing time.Think the reality of it not happening again for a good few years has hit. It's just good to know other people feel the same..Im always like this if Prince ever tours..but it seems much harder this time.
But Ive been able to listen to some fab new music and stuff that I've revisited..I also really want to learn the drums!!! ( oh and get a tattoo !)

I wish I had made more of the 21 nights, but still so happy I made it to two shows. It may sound a little overblown, but I think the experiences have changed me. YES! I KNOW it's changed me. I had almost 'packed away' my youth I think - become a mum, wife 'career woman' etc. etc. and forgotten really my obsession with Prince. This summer has made me realise that really nothing (ok - my kids are great) brings me such joy, makes me act with such ecstatic abandon, as Prince - and boy - while I'm alive - I am not going to deny myself him anymore! I have kept my Prince fanaticism under a bushel for some time now - this summer I came out and now I'm proud as anything and tell people at every occasion I can, that I am a 'huge Prince fan' - funny how many other people have admitted to it too now! I can't wait to buy the Observer on Sunday!! Hurrah! But agree - feeling pretty 'hollow' - it's almost like after you're wedding you get the post-wedding blues. You realise that you've spent 2 years (?) planning for the biggest day of your life, you had an amazing time - and yep, it's now gone. I have the post-Prince blues - but all I can do is cling on desperately to the hope that while I hope it'll be my only wedding day (11 yrs and counting so not doing too bad) - this WILL NOT be the only Princely summer I have in my lifetime! Next time - sod the husband, sod the credit card - 21 tickets and aftershows, all bought on day one - no messing. No excuses. Only made 4/2 this time - and not enough! Easter you read my mind, I'm glad i'm not the only wife, mum etc who's remembered who they once where and still are this summer. It's great to be back!
Thank You Prince I know you hear me, like a whisper in your ear......
