Glynn and the glo stix BIG BIG thank you to Glynn for the glow stix idea.
You must take credit for the overall distribution inside the arena - this idea came from you originally. It was beautiful and a fitting end to a faboulous 2 months. Glynn obviously paid out for the original glo stix and I would like to contribute something towards your costs - let us know how to do that Glynn. so, what is the answer 2 the question of U

Actually, popelife paid all the money so far, i just said i would guarantor it in the event we made a loss since it was more important to me to do something amazing to say thank you than to have the money! We'll probably let you know later today how to do it. Probably a bank transfer.. since paypal fees eat money. It was truly beautiful.. (having just rewatched the superbowl footage last night- i am not sure quite how original the idea was!- someone is holding something up.. I don't know what but it's a something..I suspect it's mobile phones)

You both did an excellent job with the idea and distribution of the glow sticks and I will honour payment for them, if you or Popelife just let me have details please, thanks.

Yeah glyn was flatly refusing to take cash for them but I took over inside the o2 and so those that got glowsticks from me paid over hard cash.
Not sure how much I collected but it was probably £40-£50. Glyn said the total cost he had was £110 so a reasonable chunk returned in that case. the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

Glyn said the total cost he had was £110 so a reasonable chunk returned in that case. the reason for me flatly refusing cash wasn't that i have transcended the monetary needs of this culture, rather more, i had enquired of the security which laws they were using to confiscate tickets off of touts.. and despite finding their copyright/trademark ones incredibly tenuous and based on technicalities, they were having people stopped for street trading and barring them from the venue.. if no money changes hands they are in a much weaker position... not something i wanted to happen on that night... anyway, anyone who wants to contribute can paypal me - glyn@ourdisco.com

Yup, there were a number of reasons for not taking money on the night. Main one, as Glyn says was that money changing hands would immediately attract the attention of security, and we were trying to fly low under the radar.
Also we were likely to have multiple people doing the distribution, so money was going to end up with lots of different people, which would have got confusing (and you would have heard us doing the lop-sided dance with a pocket full of loose change: "Thud, jangle, thud, jangle") Having said that, thanks o2 for collecting as much as you did - it's definitely broken the back of the costs. I'll update my notorious web page with payment details.
