apolgies in advance if this has been asked already, but did anyone do all 21?

failing finding someone with all 21, who would like to lay claim to 'Attendee of the year award' and receive a big org gold star?

My own figures, which will be beaten by the next post, is 4. however, sept 1 and 21 are included on those, so quality if not quantity...

17 + aftershow (no show)
24 mainshow
6th sept main and aftershow
16 + aftershow
20th + aftershow
21st + aftershow

met so many fantsatic and great people many of you were so so kind to me thnx

you all know who you are

expesially the o2 staff who always personally greeted me gave me very special treatment

12 main shows with 9 afters here, which isn't too shabby. I haven't met up with many people that have done more but I have met a few. I'm sure there were some orgers doing all 21.

there were ups n downs during the gigs....the dr john aftershow was 1 of the downers and i got no refund r Xchange....and the VIP xperience was 2 overpriced and not worth it as you got 2 stare at a black curtain and listen 2 the sound comming from the arena as "entertainment" we got 4 free alcoholic drinks and the food lets say was not that great and very average...if U like a buffet it was okish but 4 £240 i dont think so when i was seated at F2 behind the drummer!!!!
they just upgraded my ticket on the 20th 2 the VIP reception again and was told that there were no refunds being offered.
best seats in the house????...lol...i can laff about it now....just,,,,as i still feel ripped off.

Dear oh dear! And I thought I was sad. I have to ask you all a question - well several questions actually:

1. Are you minted?
2. Do you have a job to go to?
3. How are you going to ween yourself off the speed now there's no need to stay up night after night?
4. Do all your friends think you are insane/obsessed/the Mark Chapman of the 21st Century?

3. Never ever done dugs, but rarely sleep before 2am anyway, so it hasn't been too big a deal. Only slight problem was back to back shows and aftershows last Wednesday and Thursday. I got much less sleep than normal.
4. Some friends and especially work colleagues think I'm a little more odd than they used to.

I'd love to hear more answers to these.

Yes. As I've previously mentioned I did all 21 shows + all 21 aftershows.

In answer to eightiesmusicculture
1. Minted? Moi? Definitely not I don't think there can be a "hardcore" fan of Prince or any artist that tours as frequently as Prince does that isn't in debt
2. Yes. Hard working, long suffering postie.
3. Never done drugs. Don't need them. Live music is my drug of choice
4. I am insane if i wasn't I'd go completely mad
5. No i don't live in London.
It was very hard at times, travelling back to Dorset, by road, stopping home just long enough to brush teeth, change into work clothes etc and then going straight into work, especially the first 3 or 4 weeks when he was doing a Tuesday show and back to back Friday/Saturday shows.
At some points during August I was going over 50 hrs without sleep and working the Friday and Saturday when there were shows on. It was killing me. At one point i got kinda sick, I think I was suffering from exhaustion

Was it worth it?

lucky people who got to go more than once, or lucky people who got to go even once!! But do you think that was Prince's intention - to play to the same people erey night? I doubt it.

I know some did go to all 21...and while it's an amazing feat and is a sure fire way to not miss anything....is it fair? Or was it the aim?

I'd have loved to have gone at a different time but I got tickets for one date and stuck with them. Other tickets were sold out or sold on ebay for stupid amounts, which is totally unfair.

I think the aim was to reach as many people as possible.

I went to all 21 nights and all 21 aftershows.
I'm a contractor programmer so am not inhibited by a set days off per-annum (or dosh for that matter).
Just took a bunch of half-day mornings off when required.
The money spent is probably less than a weeks holiday lounging on a deck-chair on the Mediterranean coastline , so in that respect - I know which way I'd rather spend my Aug/Sep time off....
