I met several orgers around me, but have forgotten their names already. Surprisingly, there were some empty seats directly behind us, but people soon moved forward to claim them, as the view from there was great. "Gentlemen! Let's broaden our minds. Lawrence?"

I'd obviously been spoilt with Gold Circle on the last occasions. Block 116 was not a very good view at all

Hi Claire73, I met you and Megan in the RAAN bar and gave you the bracelets. And you were right about our seats - the front not the back. What a show indeed! Incredible!!!!

Great to meet you too! Megan came over and talked to me inside but we got told off by some girl for talking (fair enough) but then she and a lot of the people in my row practically had their arms folded the whole way through. And the couple in front were eating pizza! (Or perhaps it was Planet Earth??) HE came right past my seat in his box and then for one of the encores he walked past! I almost fainted. Truly wonderful xx

Truly wonderful xx[/quote] Hello ladies! It was fabbo to meet you both on Friday What a great show, with so many lovely touches. And my dream hits set list too - no Erotic City of course (harrumph) but almost all of SOTT, Girls and Boys and When U Were Mine made up for it!! The atmosphere was electric, and although the glow sticks were slightly more prolific than any of us expected ( ), it's great to think that the idea almost certainly started with glyn and popelife. Thanks guys for your organising excellence... The crowd looked truly amazing, and it was special that he could see each and every one of us going crazy with our purple hands in the air! I have also now decided I need a 1m wide glitterball for my lounge I had such a good boogie in the aisle, which made up for being at the back of the stage - it was great to sneak round to 103 for the encore tho - too easy man, and I can have my last memory of him being up close! Poor Claire had to practically drag me from the arena...almost had a stampy foot tantrum at the fact that it was all over...but I have so many special memories, and after a weekend camping with the dogs in Sussex am truly free of my TM rage, and have (almost) fully reclaimed my life It was lovely to meet TracyTracy (glad you got to be so close to him - amazing eh!?) and ElaineD and DaveT too... Special thanks to Claire for dealing with my overexcited self all evening, and to her hubby for the lift home, you were stars! Time for a glass of wine... amazing...just amazing...possibly the best gig I've ever been to in my life, even if I did end up going on my own! I was luckily next to 2 real lovely people who danced all the way through and knew all the words.
Must admit I had a bit of an emotional moment in the Beautiful Ones...it's my all-time favourite Prince song, one of the greatest songs by anyone and I'd been having a pretty tough couple of days...so I think I can be excused! When he played a bit of Darling Nikki and Dorothy Parker I went nuts...such a tease. Anyone else get the feeling that when he came back on for When You Were Mine and Girls & Boys he wasn't actually planning on it? He seemed to have a look on his face that suggested "damn you want MORE?!"... just amazing... That man is a genius. Anyone who disagrees is clearly not worth knowing.

What a show indeed... I think I arrived at the Holiday Inn just as everyone was leaving, then had to rush off to meet up with glamlife2 who bought my spare tickets. Gutted I didn't manage to find aftershow tickets, and even MORE gutted that they released some on ticketbuggers when there was a queue of people patiently waiting outside the indigO2 box office. I thought the atmosphere before the show, outside the main arena was quite subdued - understandably as the summer of Prince was coming to an end though.
Glad to have met the two fellas from Merthyr who were sat next to us on the end of Row T - hope your journey back was pleasant, and the wedding too! Can't believe that most of 110 Row U were stuffing their faces with chips, sat down and not clapping at all for at least half of the concert - I hope I didn't obscure your view too much by refusing to sit down for the entire show, and by waving my arms and jumping around. Arseholes... The glowsticks all looked amazing, but not when they were raining down from above. I can't for the life of me think why anyone would do something like that?? And at Prince?!? Can't pinpoint one favourite point of the show, but I thought the piano set was extremely moving - especially the Beautiful Ones, and Sometimes It Snows In April (the latter is my boyfriend's favourite song, and almost moved me to tears as he couldn't make the concert on Friday due to work). Stayed in Brasserie Inc after the concert, feeling thoroughly depressed. I did see a few people wearing Org t-shirts sat outside, but by the time I'd plucked up the courage to go and introduce myself - you'd gone! I thought I'd look a bit of a pleb strolling up to complete strangers and saying 'Hi, I'm evilsheep'... Stood outside the indigO2 entrance for a bit too, straining to hear any snippet of music coming through when someone opened the doors. Finally left the dome at about 2:30am and me and my mate had our own Prince party in our room. Sorry if we woke anyone up - we only had one iPod earphone in each year and were yelling a bit, but hey, you only see Prince perform his last of 21 nights in London once! Went outside the hotel at about 3:30am hoping to catch some people returning from the aftershows. Only managed to talk to one, and having read what time the aftershow finished, he obviously left early. The conversation went something like this: me: Wow! You went to the aftershow, was it amazing? him: We had to wait ages til he bothered showing up, and then he played a few songs, and then... umm, well I was hammered can't really remember anything else. Anyone got a spare fag? me: *&&!*"*&"£&^%$&$^%%!!!! I hope utter tools like this arsehole didn't spoil it for the true fans at the show. He'd bought his ticket on eBay too, but wouldn't tell me how much for. Can't believe it's all over now. I feel like I'm completely at a loose end! Not really sure what I did with my time now I don't have to chack ticketmaster in every spare moment. Me and my mate were thinking of trying to set up a Prince/funk night up in Cardiff to ease the pain. Can't be that hard to do looking at the drum'n'bass and house rubbish that pollutes the Cardiff nightlife! So glad I found 'The Org' this summer - it's been like a security blanket during times of insanity. I guess I'll have to find another part of the forum to gibber on now these concert are over.. The things you find out after a show eh. Tickets available on TM whilst we are at the O2. People asleep or paraletic. Some leaving early. The doors being opened. Oh well. It's also harder trying to find three tickets!

Claire73 said: evilsheep said: They did WHAT Yep And to think that I loitered around a bit after Inc Brassiere shut. I only left because, as I said to my friend, I'd spent every spare minute since 18th August on ticketmaster, and it was frying my brain knowing I wasn't in the aftershow, so had to leave before I lost control of my sanity! Bugger, bugger, and THRICE bugger. Nothing Compares 2 Ewe

i like the length of the show, but i have heard better aftershows from Prince man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I guess you must have been next to the right hand aisle as, as far as I could see, all the seats behind me were taken. Then again I was more concentrating on the stage rather than what was behind me so i could be wrong.
