I thought of a rather novel way to cure what will be imminent P O2 withdrawal symptoms (at least for a couple of hours!!).

The London Leicester Square Empire cinema/entertainment complex, is hosting showings of the latest Queen DVD during the next week. This got me thinking..... what if we petition them to show the "Sign of the Times" film or maybe even go further and have a P theme day/night, showing all his films? If they are not receptive, I was thinking of approaching:

1. The Prince Charles cinema, just off Leicester Square too.
2. BFI cinema.

They both often have Film Series/ Director specific theme seasons and/or special showings. These two are more likely to be receptive.

Initially, I would like to canvas interest, so if you are willing to support this idea please send a reply to this mail, ONLY SAYING "YES."

Great Idea! I know a few people who are definately more interested in Prince now that I had the pleasure of introducing them!
The Prince Charles would be more receptive, methinks. They do quite a few special event screenings.
And can I nominate The Beautiful Experience? The video with all the songs from Gold and Come? I haven't seen it in years but it was WILD!!

At the risk of congesting the thread, the BFI cinema on the south bank used to let you put on whatever film you wanted for about £200 (which is 20x£10). They'd promote it to fill the other seats. I saw all three back to the future films there in a row through screenings someone arranged that way (who I didn't know).
