Hi All,
It was a very special night... it just rocked and rocked.. felt like a rollercoaster that you had got on and didnt dare let go and never seem to catch your breath on. It didnt really have any bits in the show that werent full on (ok maybe musicology which isnt one of my favourites). Other than that some amazing versions tonight. Guitar was the best version ive seen on this tour and is my favourite Prince live song now. I was chatting to Squirrel about it at RAAN and he had formed the same opinion about that track, it just absolutely rocks and that fender makes the sweetest sound. Beautiful ones and When it snows were beautiful on the piano and i really enjoyed the final encore he gave us. Just watched the sky news footage (its on their website) and they seemed to capture the spirit of the show pretty well. Shame they didnt get a full crowd shot of the glowsticks in the dark. I have to say Big it up to Glyn for the idea in the first place. It would have been great with 700 sticks selectively in the audience but just looked like paradise with the entire crowd waving purple. Compared to Thursday night it was miles better. That show felt disjointed and ebbed and flowed in its energy. This one just piled it on higher and higher. My final comment is that the crowd tonight were fantastic. No one was sitting down anywhere in the venue (including upper tiers) and everyone just partied all night. Thats how a Prince show is supposed to be Signing off now Your friend O2review BTW a big thanks to everyone that came up and said hi at the RAAN bar before the show. I must have met 100+ of you all in that mad hour handing out glowsticks and its nice to hear people have enjoyed reading my reports. Ive enjoyed making them too the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

It was the most amazing night, The croud were amazing what an atmosphere we were the crazy girls in purple wigs, which came off after 2nd song as we were jumping and sweating so much. Everyone was so nice to meet you all at the RANN bar and the lady infront of us with her son from the org was great. There is not words to describe the feeling of tonight. WOW

Just had word that the aftershow kicked off at 1.22am with 3121.
A very late start which means its prolly gonna be 1.5hours max. The 2.5hour aftershow earlier in the tour that squirrel was raving about tonight doesnt look like its gonna be surpassed. Enjoy it everyone that is there. the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

Oh. My. God.
Before I write anything I have to thank Colinb for setting up the last minute ticket thread and Live2Love for providing the opportunity - absolute stars both.It was also great to meet all the Orgers I spoke to before and after the gig... what a great bunch of people. I can't really add anything specific that the other guys have mentioned already but need to underline a couple of things in big purple markerpen.... The sight of 20,000 purple glowsticks waving in the dark is not to be underestimated. It was amazingly beautiful... I wish the SKy News lot had filmed that for you to see... all rocking in time to the music from start to finish. It was a shame they started flying before the synth encore but I guess it was inevitable. I hope no one got hurt! I think I've got repetitive strain injury from air drumming along for two hours... Well, the man was on fire. Totally brilliant. I was totally amazed that the first part of the gig flowed from number to number so seamlessly and with so much energy - it was breathtaking... I looked at my watch the first time the band stopped for a short breather and to let the crowd go beserk so I could see how long they went for... expecting 20 mins... it had been 45 mins+! I've never seen anything like that in a live gig before. He was massively energetic - he never stopped and made some moves that would put a 20 year old to shame. For me Guitar, Purple Rain, Kiss, Cream, 1999 and the Beautiful Ones stormed it. He was so full of pent up energy singing the last one that he nearly threw his stool off the stage when he got up to sing the last high part. The crowd went beserk - you can tell how much he feels his songs when he sings them. Something else I want to add before I crash out (will I sleep??) it was so lovely to hear him praising the UK fans so much throughout - he was genuinely affectionate toward the crowd, and kept talking to us during and between the songs and he seemed to be moved to be performing for the last time in London after such a great summer. You'd think he was performing in his home town the way he gave us so much. I was impressed to hear a such an enormous star giving back praise for a change, rather than arrogantly expect it. I think that will be an enduring memory. Thanks everyone.

I've calmed down a bit now, not quite so venomous toward the lucky aftershow goers! What a fantastic night! I'm a little tipsy right now, me & my mate listening to Prince on the iPod, sharing the earphones, dancing round our Holiday Inn room. My song of the night was The Beautiful Ones. Utterly gorgeous & inspirational. Shortly I shall be adjourning to the outdoor region, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting aftershow returners, & pounding them for information. But not in the biblical sense. Nothing Compares 2 Ewe

just like to add in that he did the start of Nasty Girl but filled it in with Irresistable Bitch lyrics. Didnt have a clue what it was til my mate told me.
Also did Erotic City sample and was so close to saying "All my Purple Life" but he changed it into some other song. Gutted he didnt get to the actual DanceMusicSexRomance part of DMSR. I was well up for it when he started it. I went to get a drink (of water, not a pint before you all start pointing fingers and cursing me!) during the start of the Piano set as i thought he woudlnt do anythin i liked. I was behind 4 people in the queue with like the slowest serving people ever and what do I hear? Little Red Corvette and then I Would Die 4 U. Blast I was bitter! But had a little sing song to myself in th queue ! I got more hits than Madonna's got kids!

TheEnglishGent said: o2review said: thats my boy He absolutely loved the show and asked when he could go see Prince again. I had to explain that this was the final show but that he would be back again in a few years I think 6/7 is prolly the youngest you can take them. I was toying with the idea of bringing my 4.5yr old but i think he would have been too young and the sound too loud for him. Despite the drinks bought for him pre show (thanks Lord and Squirrel) I only had to take him to the toilet once which we luckily timed to conicide with Musicology so that was a result Now reading in another report sounds like there was someone filming the whole show from row A of the upper tier. Wonder how long its going to be before that appears on ebay the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

Think I saw you O2 outside the Raan. didnt stop as I desperatly needed to pee (sorry for the graphicness, but a 2 and a half hour car journey was murder!) Im guessing it was you as you had a org tshirt on and a little lad with you. Plus i think you had your signature bottle of wine with you! I got more hits than Madonna's got kids!
