I got QOTSA tickets for Brixton yesterday. Whenever there's a band I like and want to see I always make sure that I am signed up on the mailing list and the main forum (like this one). That way not only do you get to find out useful information (O2 car parking is a good example) but you also get to find out about pre sales.
