Hi all, just had a pizza in pizza express. Gotta get myself back up for the aftershow now.

He didn't come back. Crowd didn't make any noise so can't say I blame him.

Crowd budged in the end. I'm way down in the A'show queue as I was so sure he'd come back to do the Synth encore! That works so well at the end. Crowd was good tonight. Where r u now O2?

Still, 2 hour show. Finished early cause it started early!
Btw, I cannot record Sky - if anyone can and does and can make me a copy PLEEEEASE org note me! I'll promise better coordinated updates tomorrow in return!

nor can i. we have been trying all night 2 get it sorted & have 2 b at work at 6am. so need sleep. can any1 do a copy 4 us

Just got back from 2nites show! Was somewhat disappointed at the end he didn't do the Sample medley 2 finish with he had a god 15 mins easily! Particularly as they put the synth. on stage

Hey folks - good to meet some of you tonight.

I thought there would be another encore given the roadies put the keyboard/sampler on stage, but it can't have helped that parts of the crowd booed when the house lights came on instead of shouting their heads off - chants tomorrow night essential I think.

And maybe it was because I was near an aisle, but I couldn't believe the rudeness of some people who just sat and chatted (loudly) through the piano set as if they were in some pub ignoring the live music in the background.

And there were lots of latecomers getting lost looking for their seats in the first 20 minutes.

Apart from that, the show was another stunner. Could tomorrow possibly the night to top all nights?

PS: my ridiculously funky 64 year old mother says hello, having been on her feet throughout and resolutely starting a "We want Prince" chant before the encore. And you think you know some people!!!!

Thanks once again for the updates - however, you have made me look a complete tit because I'm standing in a hotel lobby in bloody America crying - reading the Org and thinking - WHY OH WHY am I here - and Not on my way./ coming home from the 02. My bloody career had better be worth it - as this is a BIG sacrifice. If I dont' see Prince again some time VERY soon - I am going to be bitter for a LONG time. Hope you all have just the most amazing time of your lives tomorrow - say hi to my Sis Scuzzy who will be there - with my best mate! I shall have to hear about it all second-hand - and of course, they dont' get Sky here!

He did a full version of Love Bizarre at the beginning (before or after Chelsea Rogers?). Also, the "Le Freak" lyrics were sung over the music of Sexy Dancer

no show 2nite, just after party, Prince never showed but NPG put on a fantastic show,

i'm very drunk thanks to one too many ojitos beforehand

but i will post a review of the afterparty 2mora morning when i wake

Wasn't the best show tonight. I had been enjoying the last 4 more and more each time and was well up for this. It started well with Prince coming on in the darkness, standing motionless for a moment, then walking straight to the point of the symbol about 15 feet from where we were sitting. Then he went off the the swirly bit and over to the horn. All this was set to some synth type sounds and it seemed to get the crowd going.

Everything was going well and we were dancing along an enjoying ourselves. Then we got to Kiss and for some reason, that song is really grating on me at the shows. After that I just couldn't get into it. I suspect the fact that I'm on the back end of a lousy cold didn't help but after Purple Rain I just didn't need to hear any more. We waited around for a bit then wandered out to the aftershow queue. As we were just leaving 1999 started up, so we hung around a wee bit longer but when they started playing Crazy we left. I was a little concerned I might miss something new at the end, or on the sampler, so I'm pleased to see that the only thing we missed was Nothing Compares.

There were plenty of highlights though. A Love Bizarre is always going to go down well as far as I'm concerned. He actually teased it on the guitar before saying that we weren't ready for that and playing something else. Each time he plays the intro to Question Of U, I'm practically pleading with him to bloody sing it instead of doing The One. Tonight he extended that guitar intro and it was great but then he started off on The One. Much to my surprise there was something in that performance tonight and I'd say that it was the best I've seen it done, so very happy with that. Condition Of The Heart in the piano set was awesome and there was also a great version of When Will We Be Paid.

On reflection I seem to have found many highlights, so I guess I can put it down to being slightly off colour.

Really enjoyed the aftershow apart from a bit in the middle where it was getting a bit too much with all the jazzy stuff but I'll write that up in another thread.

On reflection I dont think it was in the same league as a few of the others I have seen. Like you i was well up for it but felt the show was a bit flat. Was with a friend for his 2nd show and he absolutely loved it and met a few friends after who's first show it was and they thought it was the best show ever so guess its all relative. I am lucky enough to be able to compare and last Thursday was way better.
