Hey guys - loved the thread about the orger who's wife went into labour while he was at a P gig. I saw Diamonds & Pearls Tour when I was 7 months pregnant - that was 15 years ago! I also remember at the Lovesexy Tour, a girl actually had her waters break during the gig and refused to be taken to hospital until it was over!

I saw an interview with P, before the Musicology tour, where he talked about how much he wanted to encourage his fans to bring their children to see his live shows. "Real musicians, playin' real music" is what he said.

I just wondered how many orgers had taken their children to see this tour and how old they are. I had the great pleasure of finally being able to take my daughter to see "THE GREATEST SHOWMAN/MUSICIAN ON EARTH" and I was just interested to know whether others had.

we took our son who is now 20 to the new power soul tour. we got to the brixton acc aswell.We have taken our 9 yr old 2x & she loves him... we also took our 18 yr old and she was rocking..we even dressed up in purple and she wore a rasberry berrit. what a great family night out we had.think i might take her again b4 he leaves our shores

I took my 5 year old daughter on 31st August. She sings Prince all the time. Last night she was humming something in the bath while I was pottering around in my bedroom. On closer listening she was actually humming Somewhere Here on Earth. My boss took his two sons aged 13 and 16 last week as he also wanted them to witness "the greatest showman/musician" in their lifetime.

My boy is two and I'm worried that I'll never get to take him. Not especially worried for him, jut concerned that Prince might not come back after this.

i am taking my four year old daughter 2night shes got a nice purple party dress from morgan and her acceseries and she is looking 4ward to it as much as i am will be burning down the a12 from ipswich in the audi tt prince on the bose stereo all the way cant wait

Took my seven year old on 28th as thought it would be rare opportunity to see him as don`t know when he`ll be back. She loved it. He did Lolita that night which was one of her favourites! He's now her no 1 star over and above Justin Timberlake!Don`t know how long it will last though!

Great to hear all your stories fam. I hope we get some more too. I'd love to know what happened to the girl from the Lovesexy Tour. That was '88 so her child would be nearly 20!

My brother was 16 when I took him to his first Prince concert which was Lovesexy in 1988. We still go to concerts together now and we're going to our first 02 concert together this Sunday (even though we've both been a few times separately already). We'll also go to the 21st concert together. He's now 35 and I'm 42.

Took our 13 yr old on the 18th but we were upper tier,and no atmos etc,so he didnt enjoy it. I think if he came when we went again(lower tier),it would have been a different story...

My boy is 21 and I'm taking him tonight...He's a real cool kid, a drum and bass dj...He's gonna love it...

Taking my 7 year old to the 21st show. It will be his first prince gig. Sitting in 110 row D now so should be an amazing view for him. He cant wait

I have taken my 9yr old three times now! It will be her fourth on the 21st & she is really exicted! She LOVES him & is becoming slightly obsessed which is no surprise having me as her role model!

Sat in D2 on the 28th & she was by far the most funkiest dancer in our block! She rocked, we had a great time

Spent most of her pocket money on merchandise & is treating herself to a pillowcase on the 21st, think I will have to fight her for it

She asked me the other night if she would ever see Prince again in her life-time, wouldn't it be great if he was her Uncle ( oh yeah!!) & what would happen if he dies OMG! Starting to get slightly worried now.....

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she is already here on the Org, as long as she is not Woolfy (no offence mate, love u really!!) then I'm happy

I so wish I could take my baby girl to see Prince live but she is only two! She certainly gets to listen to lots of his music though so she is a Prince fan in the making

My 21 year old son is coming with me on the 20th. He is really into music (of a sort) and is a garage DJ. He's even looking out for garage versions (cringe) of Prince's music
He's been listening to Prince over the last few weeks as I have been playing more and more around the house and he's seen some video clips of live performances. He says that Prince looks 'Well good' on stage and has got a really cool way about him.
I am really looking forward to it, beacuse although it is not his type of music, I know he will appreciate Prince's talent

My mum and Dad were both prince fans and introduced me to him when i was around six , my first memory of him was in purple rain (that film was rude when your youngster ).. My sister is also a fan too but the youngest sister is becoming converted too its a family thing .

My mum and dad took me to my first concert the gold experience when i was 15 and bought me a t shirt outside i wore it till the pictures disappeared .....

They had me a gold symbol made for my 16th birthday which i cherished ....
a Prince cake for my 18th but unfortunately my friends did not share my passion fr him and someone put a fist in it very sad !!!
I also recieved a prince symbol with diamonds in it when i was 21 from my mum... and i got engaged in 1999 to remember the year !!!

I would love to take my little boy Nate to a concert he loves prince we dance when its on the prince pod ...are babes in arms permitted ??

I made a family night of it on the 14th Aug. There was my Mum,Wife,and youngest daughter(9 years old). Also my Best mate (who actually got me into Prince. A friend forever) and his daughter. All i can say is that my daughter was totally impressed. She was sooooo jealous when she found out that my best mate and me were going again!!( went on the 9th Sept)
She did a show and tell at school yesterday using her Prince programme.
Her teachers were well impressed,especially her music teacher.
Hope he comes back again so i can take both daughters and my son.

I've promised our son since he was 4 that I would take him to see Prince when he next came to the UK. He's 7 now and was so excited as the dates were announced. He loved the concert from start to end dressed in his purple shirt, purple tie and symbol badge used as a tie pin!

He enjoyed it so much we had to get more tickets and went back on the 9th staying in the nearby holiday inn so he could take in the whole atmosphere! He's now wanting to go to a 3rd, but don't think I'm going to be able to get tickets now.

Just hope he comes back in 11 years so I can take him to an aftershow! I know Prince will be 60, but I imagine it will still be one hell of a performance!!

Wow! I've been telling everyone about the cool family I saw with the little kid all dressed up to the nines in his purple shirt, tie and best of all - symbol tie pin. You guys looked great and I was really excited to see such an amazing family outing! (was of course also jealous because my hubbie doesn't 'get' Prince and wouldn't let me take our girls).

Took my 9 yr old daughter on the 3rd Aug she loved it and has been asking when we can go again, the only date that I can get to the o2 is the 21st and dont have any tickets and looking like that im not going to get any (unless the wife has got me some for my birhday wich is the 22nd)

Took my 14 yr old daughter on the 12th Sept!! What a night! The man himself was awesome, and the atmosphere electrifying, all night long...
and when he sang Nothing Compares 2 U - OMG, I could've cried (ok I did cry with happiness) -- as my daughter (who's a really moody teenager much of the time at the mo), and I hugged and put our arms around each other.Swaying and singing along to his dulcet tones...was a serious but beautiful bonding moment!
Prince you'll never know how much that moment meant, after everything our family has been through. I am so grateful and still buzzing from the whole experience. More importantly though, my daughter (who has her own band and plays piano and guitar) was blown away by the whole gig...Hopefully, it'll be a night she'll never, ever forget...and the best lesson in music and performance she'll ever have. Thanks for another wonderful experience P, and to 'lunny' for making it possible for us to get to the show in the first place.
