What's best for short person at aftershow - downstairs or balcony?

I'm only 5ft and have downstairs tickets for 20th. I've only been in the balcony so far and thought the view was pretty good but it was a no-show so didn't get a real feel for what it would be like when he's playing (he WILL be there on the 20th of course...must be positive). I'm not too bothered about being close but I would like to see.

So what do you reckon for a shorty - balcony or downstairs?

downstairs is fine.. There is a raised area you can stand in about 10ft back which you can see from no probs.

Stay downstairs.

I am 5ft 2" & was there on sunday. was on the floor. tall people infront of me. as soon as prince came to the stage. they pulled me infront of them and i sat on the stairs at the right hand side of the stage. i was right at princes feet for most of the show. then got onstage for a dance with him and shelby. so up 2 u. but i will say floor. floor. floor. lol

Agreed, the raised section should do you well. If you do venture down the front, use your feminine wiles to charm the tall guys into letting you up front biggrin

I'm 5ft 5, still small, but no one pitys the small man, no one!

This is all a subjective topic; it depends on how important atmosphere and being in the tick of the action are to you.....

If you are downstairs and you are short I suggest getting as near to the front of the stage as possible. This, however, is not easy unless you are close to the front of the queue outside the Indigo, before the Aftershow show starts. If you can make it to the front, I would suggest trying to get a spot close to the two steps that go from the floor, to the stage, at either end of the stage. They are policed by security staff, so if people push you around they could hopefully intervene. The area around the steps will provide a great view, with bonus of having the chance to be invited on stage, if you are selected, as has happened at a couple of recent Aftershows.

At the sides of the stage, a bit further back there are raised sections, where the ramp goes down from the rear floor area to the front floor area (there are chrome railing at these locations). I would say they are gonna be quite good for sight lines.

My wife is about your height and she had no trouble seeing the stage standing next to the soundmixing booth downstairs.
