Can I just say very many thanks for the replies to this thread. I never ceased to be amazed at the knowledge and memory of my fellow orgers, who are far more hardcore than I will ever be (even though I have been a Prince fan since about 1984).

I'll have to dig out the tape from the attic. I have also been reminded about the Cafe de Paris show and interview with Mel C which I am still hoping I have on tape. I will have to see what else is lurking in the attic and get it all transfered to DVD. Has anyone seen the Musicology DVD that can be found lurking on a well know auction website. Is the DVD any good. Hope this has not broken any rules if it has then please snip away.

Apologies for the rather vague thread but I'm hoping that someone can help me out on this one.

Back in the late 1980's C4 (UK TV station) broadcasted a Prince concert. I think I have it on VHS tape somewhere as well. Does anyone else remember this and if so was it a one-off performance or part of a tour, if so which one.

If I can find the tape I just hope it has stood the test of time.

Any recollections on this would be appreciated.

I have just found my tape and it is in brilliant condition. The concert was on 7th June 1986 - wow did he look sexy!!! lol can't believe it was 21 years ago. Going to have it copied on to DVD and then send to people who have asked about it.

I still have the original VHS tape, held together with sellotape after it snapped one time while I was rewinding it, aaaarrrrgh! Luckily the part it broke was an episode of the UK edition of Soul Train with the Force MDs video of Tender Love wink.

Luckily, in this digital age, I have a digital copy of the broadcast now and one thing I didn't realise is that the original transmission was missing Sexy Dancer.

Can you remember the days before the internet? Some UK dealer was selling less than official DVD's for £25. Now I've got a holder full of them which didn't cost a thing. biggrin

I seem to remember watching a Prince concert where he came out in a car doing Alphabet street and I thought it was absolutely brilliant, the whole show! Is this the one you are talking about?

Is the Lovesexy tour on DVD or did you tape it off the TV.

Here is a question that will really test the knowledge of all you hardcore UK orgers. Can anyone name all the concerts that have been broadcast on UK TV.
